Okay, you're probably wondering what exactly is a lorikeet? Well, we'll just tell you that it’s a tiny, friendly tropical bird that you simply cannot afford to miss. At Coral World, you get to do more than just watch lorikeets inside their cages. Instead, you get a cup of nectar and are actually allowed to walk right into their open-air habitat. Don't be afraid - the lorikeets are very friendly and will land on your arms and beg for treats! It's a great place for the kids, but even if you don't have kids, you'll still enjoy these cute creatures.

Grab your surf board and head for the waters at Hull Bay. The surf's up here, and you don't want to miss your chance to hang ten! As you can probably tell already, Hull Bay's a hot spot for surfing. Why? Mostly because the Atlantic Ocean whips up fantastic waves right off the beach, making it one of the best, little-known surfing spots around. But what's even better about Hull Bay is the fact that it's a secluded beach too. This off-the-beaten path spot doesn’t attract huge crowds, so you can do plenty of solo snorkeling and beach-hammock swinging too.

Iggies Beach Bar & Grill is where locals and visitors meet to let loose and party hard on the dance floor. If you’re in the market for a place where you can listen to some great music, sing some karaoke, spend the entire night dancing or find some great sports TVs, then you can stop looking now. To put it simply, Iggies is basically an all-out beach party that's happening all the time. If that's your scene, then this 20-year-old island favorite is a must.

To find it, just head to the intersection where Havensight turns into Yacht Haven Grande. Once you arrive, you’ll find amazing bargains on cartons of duty-free cigarettes and Virgin Island rum. You won't find a better deal anywhere else on the island. Just make sure to stock up for your trip home!

Airline flights to St. Thomas arrive at Cyril E. King Airport (STT). Non-stop and connecting service from the US mainland to St. Thomas are available. Most flights make connections in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Flights on inter-island carriers can be made from San Juan to St. Thomas and St. Croix and between islands.

For immigration, citizens of the United States do not need a passport or visa to visit St. Thomas. However, it is advised that you have a passport to return to the United States to prove U.S. citizenship. Travelers to the island are required to carry a photo ID, which can be a U.S. driver’s license. For customs, each U.S. citizen is allowed to return to the U.S. (mainland or Puerto Rico) with $1600 in total purchases (up from $800 for the Caribbean generally). At least half the value of purchases must have been made in the USVI. Have purchases, receipts, Forms 4457 and the Customs declaration form handy to show officials.
