Very disappointing.
This is a small hotel not a resort and as far as I could find only had one very poor restaurant. The rooms are very basic and superficially clean. The housekeeping is very hit and miss and despite the hotel providing coffee makers in the rooms they were very reluctant to top up the coffee bags daily. In fact when I went to reception to ask if I could have a coffee bag as the room had not been restocked the receptionist said that there were not any available in reception. When I stated that the receptionist the previous evening had supplied one she then very rudely said that I should not need one every day ! The hotel is very neglected especially the outside areas but the pools are clean. It is in a stunning position and the sunsets were beautiful. There are restaurants nearby but the hotel is on a very busy narrow road without a pavement so it is difficult to walk anywhere. It is however very easy to get a cab. We were all inclusive and It is the worst all inclusive hotel I have ever been to. The very limited meal choices are well cooked and taste ok but due to the extremely limited choice they are very monotonous. There is no fruit available other than at breakfast (limited) and no desserts except one type of highly coloured sponge cake in the evening. Legends the sister hotel has an equally limited menu but is pleasant to eat at for a change and is next to the stunning beach. The beach is the only really nice thing about Negril. The housekeeper's and gardeners are friendly and Tina in the bar is lovely and always smiling and helpful. The restaurant staff and other bar staff are however the rudest people I have ever met. They give the impression that they do not want to be there and do not want you at the hotel. They barely speak and try to avoid any eye contact. There is a marked difference in how the American guests are treated compared to Europeans. I certainly witnessed German guests being treated with as much rudeness as us. Drinks are all in plastic cups (you can get drinks in glasses at Legends) and tea or coffee in paper cups apart from at breakfast. Yuk Unfortunately the staff give a very poor impression of Jamaican's. We met a lot of lovely Jamaican's when out and about. This hotel could be so much better with a bit of investment and effort.

Diamond in the rough
This is a fabulous resort! We did not do all inclusive but that was no issue! There are some fabulous local restaurants within walking distance. If you don't want to walk, there was always a taxi close by to give you a safe ride anywhere you would like to go! Jennifer at the front desk was always waiting to great you with her beautiful smile, recommendation, or help hailing a taxi! She is the star of the resort!! This trip was everything we wanted and the resort was the cherry on top! Bravo!! The ocean was rough so we didn't swim but that pushed us out to see the island and there are no regrets

Samsara Cliff Bonus Trip
I have to give a shout out to my girl Tina who works the bar. She really wears many hats here. You’ll catch her serving people at the pool, opening umbrellas and even helping in the dinning area. She’s always smiling and so happy to help. The ladies upstairs in the dinning hall are fantastic as well. The food is excellent as well. Good home cooking. I’m going to Beaches tomorrow with my family and I have to say I’m going to miss the food here.

Tina is the best!
Great place to stay on the cliffs! Water is excellent with nice ladders to climb out after jumping off the cliff. Bar is open at 10 and drinks are very consistent between bar tenders. Tina is an absolute SMASH of a bartender, she's high energy and always has a smile. She's fantastic and really makes this place work! Restaurant is open in 2 hour blocks for breakfast, lunch, and supper. Food is really nice, especially supper. Breakfast is cooked to order, lunch is basic, supper is great! They do not have towels for the pool or laying out areas like most other resorts, so be sure to bring your own. Pretty decent Italian restaurant across the street and a small convenience store down the road with everything you will ever need. We definitely recommend this place! Kevin, Lissa, and Matty.

Not my first or last trip here
This wasn’t my first trip to Samsara, and it certainly won’t be my last. From the moment you step onto the property, you’re enveloped in a magical atmosphere that’s hard to describe but impossible to forget. Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Negril, it’s the perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The property has breathtaking ocean views, lush greenery, and a peaceful ambiance that makes it feel like your own private paradise. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, exploring the cliffs, or simply enjoying the tranquil vibes, Samsara has a way of making you feel at home while offering a unique slice of paradise. The staff are incredibly welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is unforgettable. Their warmth and hospitality truly set this place apart. If you’re planning a trip to Negril, I can’t recommend staying at Samsara enough. It’s a destination that stays with you long after you’ve left, and I can’t wait to return again.
