Jan 31, 2025Amazing time at Dreams Macao
We visited Dreams Macao beach Jan 22-29th. The resort layout is great, easy to find everything - we spent most of our time at the beach, preferred family pool and water park. The pools were clean, well maintained, with lots of staff to offer drink service. There were always pool chairs, usually in the shade, at the beach and preferred pools, The beach has no seaweed, big waves, and my kids had a blast despite the red flag every day of our stay. We also walked to the right beyond the resort (10 min) to enjoy the calmer beach there a few times. Service: -Our butler, Omar, was very helpful and friendly, always ready to lend a hand. -The staff at the preferred lunch were so friendly and kind and always took care of us, and their service stood out above the rest. -Rigoberto at the preferred pool was always doing a great job managing the pool and service Kids Club/ Core Zone -The kids cub staff went above and beyond, being flexible and making things work for a a kiddo who doesn’t always do well at kid clubs. My son was always greeted by name with enthusiasm when signing in or even when we ran into kids club staff throughout the resort, Repunzle, Dora and all the other staff whose names I did not catch were all phenomenal and went above and beyond. Best kid club experience we have had at a resort. -Diana from Core Zone was also phenomenal and went well above and beyond! My 10 year old was able to attend during the day and even when there were no other kids in attendance, Diana kept him entertained, played pool and chatted with him and made him feel so welcome! Kids 9-12 years of age can use the core zone between 9am and 5pm, which was not very evident and therefore under used at the resort, but it was an amazing spot for this age with video games, a movie room, slushies and popcorn. Food: We were very happy with the food options, always able to find something delicious to eat, our favourites were French restaurant (duck, lamb, onion soup), Italian (bruschetta, lasagna, ossobucco, chicken parm, cannolli’s and panacotta), seasides (beef fillet, shrimp), Oceana lunch (fish and chips, Macao burger). Our favourites drinks were at the lobby bar, preferred lounge and barracuda - margaritas and mojitos. -A small con: it was often a challenge to get pool towels beyond breakfast time. We would stop to grab towels for the day right after breakfast and this worked well. We hope to return to Dreams Macao in the future!

Dreams macao is the best!
One of the best all inclusives you'll ever go to. Get the preferred club upgrade, you won't regret it. I brought my 8 months old and got a swim out room, honestly the best decision we made. The baby can sleep while we lounge by the pool and don't have to leave the room.

Amazing family resort, exceptional resort food, best I have ever had (and I've been too many), great entertainment. Overall I highly recommend for families and weddings. In fact I am planning on coming back in October to host my wedding as well.

Exceeded our expectations
We had a fantastic experience at this resort from beginning to end! We are members of the unlimited vacation club and we were fortunate to receive a complementary room upgrade to an Ocean Front room, which was an unexpected pleasure. We usually receive some kind of room upgrade based on availability, and this time we really lucked out. The Ocean Front suite had three separate balconies, separate living and bedroom areas, and a huge outdoor soaking tub. It was amazing! We've visited many of the Dreams, Secrets and Zoetry resorts in Punta Cana, Jamaica and St. Lucia and this was our 4th visit to Punta Cana where the quality of the resorts are a noticeable step up. We found Dreams Macao Beach resort to be one of the best we've visited and plan on returning again. The food and service was noticeably better, the entertainment and theatre were great, the preferred pool areas were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the lazy river pool. The beach is clean and beautiful, but also steep and a bit rough. If you are more of a beach person, we'd recommend Secrets or Dreams Royal Beach over this resort, but if you are more of a pool person, this resort or Dreams Onyx are better options. Our only complaint this trip is there was a very limited selection and availability of bourbon-type whiskeys, which is our preferred drink. Other resorts have typically had Crown Royal, Evan Williams and/or Canadian Club whiskeys available, but only a few bars had these and quickly ran out. So, we had to switch to Rum and Vodka drinks instead. In all, a minor thing, really.

Wedding trip
Service, and entertainment was amazing! We had our wedding here and everyone was amazing! Tairi one of the entertainment staff went above and beyond our expectations! We absolutely loved her! All of the staff was very friendly and exceeded our expectations!
