Amazing long beach with soft sand, good food and drink. Don’t wait, just book your next vacation here.
I have been here twice now and will be going a third. Beach is amazing, beautiful sands and lots of room. You aren’t piling on top of each other as there is plenty of beach chairs and room for everyone. I have to say, the Rock show they did was insane. I mean holy fn shhh. Amazing intro then they come out in all black to Marilyn Manson with a synchronized dance routine. Had shivers across my body was truly well done. All the staff and entertainers I have to give 5 stars because of the level of professionalism they displayed throughout my stay. The food, well the reason I didn’t go to Cuba was the food so you get what you pay for. The Bahamas has excellent food probably across all the islands, I’m willing to pay for that and you should too. So, if you’re thinking about going, try it out. You’ll end up loving it I’m sure. Travel safe everyone.

Not good. You get what you pay for!
The food was so bland and boring. Had most of the same things for lunch and dinner with some variety. Even the desserts were very limited and not good. The beach does not look like the pictures. There was so much seaweed, that could easily be cleaned up every day by the resort but that seemed typical of the lack of maintenance from what we experienced in our room, such as cracked floor tiles, poor lighting, our TV was mounted crooked and not a full screen (obviously did not take the time to fix an easy solution). Also, the beer was so watered down that it took quite a few to feel the effects of the alcohol.

Great Beach, Excellent Staff, just needs to be revived with new entertainment ideas or extra pools or a waterpark.
Return Travelers to this resort, we were there in March of 2023 for Spring break. Let's start with the great things! Front desk Supervisor Keychanna 《 sorry if not spelt correctly is amazing at her job as we had 190 ppl in our group from Montreal but all from Ottawa. She made the transition easy as pie and always with a smile on her face! Love ya girl never change. Miss Macintosh at guest services made a special day for our Travel agent whose 48th Birthday was being celebrated and decorated the room and door with extras, thank you girl. Bar staff...was a pleasure seeing some familiar faces like Pedro, Kelvin, Ralph, Frederico and my lady Sonia, great times!! All of the bar staff are family to me and really appreciated the new ones just as much Donardo, Devin, Gatano, Jaydin Daddio Camel, morning Spanish Coffee ☕️, WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU and hopefully we see you next year... The not so good, we found the entertainment staff much quieter then Crazy Amy and Zoomba girls back in March 2023. They were not energetic and mainly cold or not up to getting the crowd going. Big shut out to Jayson at Archery 🏹 and hobbie cat sailor for enjoying the fun laughs and great cultural discussions as he is one of the local Bahamians. The resort needs something new to revive it as lots of ppl complaining about water pressure and temperature to AC and mold smell...competition is coming in June Carnival and the future with Royal Caribbean so invest into it as it is privately owned by Italians 🇮🇹, put some upgrades into it as you do for all of the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Viva's including the new Miches adult only one. Food has taken a downgrade from 2023, but shout out to CAROLINE, at the wood fired pizza late night snack dealing with drunk ppl and making Zaas from 10 to 2am to feed everyone! She needs a promotion as she is also a local Bahamian girl who works so hard and not recognized by upper staff...Blanco pizza was made for my daughter as she can't do tomato sauce So thank you and we appreciate you girl... The beach is beautiful can't take that away and maintenance staff keep it looking top shelf around the resort great job everyone. Housekeeping has always been top notch and will go out of their way for anything and make the rooms look wonderful and clean. Keep up the great work ppl...

Reservations for the 3 restaurants are impossible to make
I agree with what some of the reviewers when they say, "you get what you pay for", however, I would like to warn possible guests of Viva Fortuna of vital information regarding the restaurants, which is not stated on their website. Along with the buffet restaurant there are 3 other restaurants, which is correct, however, what they don't tell you is that you can only use those restaurants 1 time per 3 nights during your visit, AND you will find when you try to make reservations, that they are always "booked up", their is no availability, they have all kinds of excuses why you can't make a reservation. What I finally realized is that you need to be a "member" of the Wyndam Resorts, those are the people that can get in. After I pushed and pushed they finally gave us a reservation for one night. When we went to dinner we noticed that the restaurant was basically half filled when we got there and when we left. When we tried making another reservation at a different restaurant, I was stone-walled. I told them that the restaurant was half filled and she she said that they couldn't help if people didn't show up for their reservations, which I replied, it's so difficult to get a reservation that I can't imagine so many people would not keep them. It was extremely frustrating, and the food in the buffet was horrible! My husband and I ate salads for dinner and omelets for breakfast, as those were the only "fresh" type meals that were available. I think the website needs to be more up-front about this situation.

Viva Fortuna Wyndham--discount vacation at best....booo!
Bahamas is beautiful. This "all inclusive" sucks. Severely short staffed. Apparently there are 4 restaurants and a buffet. However, it's impossible to get a reservation because all restrictions run at 1/2 capacity and the buffet is TERRIBLE. Further, the only entertainment is a guy playing his guitar--he's ok, but every night. Felt like Groundhog Day in paradise. Also, no water pressure, the buildings are run down, and felt very crengy. YOU COULDNT PAY ME TO COME BACK TO THIS RESORT.
