Bamboo
Manuel and Juan were amazing!!! Very proactive and attentive. Made our experience that much better!! The food was excellent, pork belly was delicious, and the dumplings were awesome! We also had “tequila boom boom” shots which we ended our meal with…they were great!

Nice hotel with a great beach.
Travelled together with my mom. That was my third trip to Mexico, and it was a nice experience. The Biggest Plus: The beach was amazing. The white sand and clear water were such a treat compared to the places I’ve visited before, which had lots of seaweed and terrible seabeds. It was a pleasant change. There were plenty of chairs available on the beach. Even though some tourists would reserve chairs by leaving towels on them and disappearing for the day, there were still enough for everyone. Hotel Property: The hotel grounds were clean and well-maintained. Food: The food was okay. I wouldn’t call it extraordinary, but there was enough variety, and most dishes were pretty tasty. They were diligent about restocking dishes when needed. My only regret was that I only saw shrimp on the menu once. Room: Initially, we were given a room on the first floor, but it had an unbearable mold smell. I requested a replacement, and the nice lady at the reception offered us a room on the third floor, which was great. The new room was clean, smelled fine, and everything was in good condition. Entertainment: I’m not a big fan of shows, but I attended one and thought it was decent. There was a disco every evening, which was fun. As for entertainment by the pool, I can’t say much since I spent most of my time playing volleyball. Customer Service: Bartenders/Waiters were very nice and hardworking. When my friends came to pick me up from the hotel, the management provided me with a QR code so they could enter the property. Communication was excellent. I'm definitely recommending this hotel.

Awesome workers. Everyone needs a raise or more perks
Amazing service at bamboo all people were amazing and friendly. Manuel and Dazaet and the other gentleman who brought us our food were all very polite and service is always above and beyond that’s what keeps me coming for 10 years now. I even bought a membership because of how much I love it here. Ive been at other resorts in Playacar and other places treat you like just another number. Not here. They treat you like family. It seems like they take care of their employees because many of them have been here long and always remember me when me and my loved ones come to visit

Lovely stay in Viva Azteca
We’ve just returned back from Viva Azteca hotel. It has been our third stay in Mexico and this hotel is definitely the best. The staff, the food, activities- everyone goes above and beyond. The beach is also very well maintained with plenty of water sports activities. It was very sad leaving but we will definitely come back.

absolutely beautiful, so much to do and see could of stayed longer
lovely hotel, in the best location right on the beach witch is absolutely beautiful has perfect soft sand and is so peaceful, and is also in a gated community witch add a real sense of safety, and is also about a 20 minute walk to playa del carmen witch has lots of shops and bars perfect to visit is the weathers not to good. me and my husband and 2 kids age 12 and 14 visted for 10 nights. as for the hotel its self its lovely, has a real calm and peaceful vibe and is also so clean and the staff work so hard to keep it this way. the rooms are nice enough, and quite spacious. as for food and bar areas there is plenty of seating areas, inside and outside there is a buffet restraust with a range of different foods, and a further 3 restraunts one Asian witch was not the best, one Italian witch was lovely, and one Mexican witch was also great. the thing with the restraunts is that if your not there by 7pm your not getting in as there is limited availability. the inside bar area is lovely, and service is quick. they also have a range of drinks, entertainment is also on every night as well as shows, and live music. however if you would prefer a quieter area to sit there is a bar near the pool that's much quieter and absolutely lovely. the snack bar is also perfect and always open. as for pools and activities there is one good sized pool and a further baby pool. however the beach is just on your door step, and there is plenty of sun loungers and water sport activities to take part in, as well as extra activities such as jet skiing and paragliding however this does cost extra. there is a games room, and also bike hire witch is free and prefect to explore the gated community, as if you turn left when you leave the hotel there is also another few shops and bars. if this isn't enough there's over 200 trips to choose from such as amazing water parks, natural ruins and caves. as we stayed over Halloween and the day of the dead they put a amazing amount of effort into decorating the hotel and doing extra shows and activities perfect for all ages. overall the hotel was great and the only main down falls was the booking system for restraunts witch should be changed, and the weather but that is not the hotels fault at all. overall it was perfect and i would definitely recommend its amazing value for money even though it seems like a big outlay.
