    Overall great trip and resort

Nice resort. Food and drinks were great!! At breakfast Ceasar and Efrain were awesome. At the steak house (Casona) Jueventos was phenomenal. Our pool servers, Raul and Candalaria never let our drinks or our bellies go empty. Overall a great trip. I am a member of the villa group and the only negative thing I would say is that they need to put in rules about chair saving like they have at the Cabo resorts. I didn't like that elite members got their chairs saved without even being there. I like the rules like in Cabo that if you are gone for more than 1 hour they take your things and open up the chairs. There were chairs saved and people didn't show up for 4 hours or more. Also need to put rules about kids under a certain age wearing swim diapers. The main pool was closed for almost 3 hours one day because of an accident in the pool.

    Already planning our return

We had an incredible stay at the Villa del Palmar and are already planning a return trip next year. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with 3 adults and a 5-year-old. The room was incredibly spacious and provided more than enough space for our group. The bedrooms were very comfortable, bathrooms clean, the kitchen was nice to have (although not crucial) and we spent many hours on the extensive balcony, which spanned the entire length of the suite. All rooms face the ocean, so even though we booked a “garden view” suite, we had views of the resort grounds along with water views. We were extremely satisfied with the food. We ate at the buffet several times, ordered room service on multiple occasions, and ate at 3 of the dine-in restaurants. The quality of the food was very high in all instances. Service throughout the resort was excellent, from the pool attendants, to the housecleaning staff, and the people working at the kid’s club. Everyone was very accommodating and available without feeling overbearing or pushy. We brought $200 USD in cash for 5 days, which felt like an appropriate amount to be able to tip everyone we came into contact with. The resort grounds are very beautiful. During the day the pools were always clean and well attended, the beach was clean and the water clear, everything was lush and well maintained. At night the grounds were lit up beautifully, with fire pits lit on the less windy nights. The vibe is family-friendly and lively, with very few “spring breakers” being overly rowdy or loud late into the night. We took advantage of the floating obstacle course, complimentary paddle boards, yoga and kid’s activities next door at the Garza Blanca, and recommendations from the concierge. Everyone has different desires when visiting a resort, but the Villa del Palmar checked all our boxes, and we were constantly impressed at every turn. We can’t wait to return next year.

    Amazing vacation-amazing staff!

Two servers stand out as being extra accommodating; they provided great service and were super friendly. Wilfredo was a sweet young man who was very efficient at seeing to our needs and making our meal experience a good one. Romo is a gem and a great server as well as a great singer. He made sure my husband had a special birthday treat and he made sure we were happy with our meal experience. He is top notch! All the servers, all the housekeeping staff, and all the front desk employees were terrific! Thank you all for making us feel so special on our vacation!

    The staff is amazing!

We have stayed at this hotel many times since 2019. The experience is always enjoyable and consistent. Many of the staff members have been at the property since we started going several years ago. This year we received exceptional service from Eric by the pool and Romo at breakfast specifically but everyone was great as always.

    Great family resort

We have going to all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean for the last 26 years and I can confidently say the Villa Del Palmar was the nicest so far. It is a family resort, not an active nightlife but you can walk next door to the sister resort for night time entertainment. The staff is very attentive and does its best to provide the best experience possible. We had a large group of over 20 people and Gabriel and Jesus were phenomenal. These guys were great, constantly bringing us beverages and food throughout the day. The kids club for the younger ones was great, offering different activities and crafts. The food was very good and I do suggest reserving your dining choices prior to arrival. We had 2 favorites, the Italian and American restaurants. The breakfast buffet is well appointed with many choices. For lunch, the group favorite was Zamas, the Mexican restaurant. The drinks are great and many top shelf choices. The rooms were updated and kept very clean. We had plenty of space, full kitchen and living room, 2 full baths and restocked treats and beverages daily. We will definitely return to this resort.
