What We Love

  • This resort is perfect for families. Kids in Paradise keeps children happy while their parents enjoy time alone for scuba diving, sport fishing and spa time.
  • The new farm-to-table restaurant, Tomatillos, is absolutely amazing!

Things to Know

  • The resort is a great base for families who love the fine sand of Medano Beach. But there's also golfing, whale-watching and a simply fabulous spa.

    Great Trip !

We very recently spent a week at Villa del Palmar Cabo with some of our kids and grandkids - seven of us. We all had just the greatest time. And we have to thank the staff for making that trip so special. Abigail, Leydi and Rubi at the front desk were always welcoming and so helpful with just everything. From check in, to quickly getting a roll away bed, to helping with a service issue in the Sports Bar, to getting airport transportation arranged for us - they were there for us and did a great job. A big thank you to them all. Hope to see them all next time !!! The grandkids (5 year old triplets) quickly grew to love and look forward to the Kids Club. The two Brendas on staff there were so nice and patient and helpful with the kids. And the kids were so happy with the projects they made and showed off to us. Another great job. We spent a lot of time pool side and very quickly grew to appreciate the service and attention from Nico and Alberto. Just about every morning we got a big Buenos Dias and welcome from Alberto as he asked how he could help us. And we had to remind Nico to "slow down" as he ran to provide top notch service to us and so many others around the pool. We were happily spoiled by Nico. He works so hard ! We had breakfast at the resort restaurant many mornings and the service provided by Uziel was great. He quickly got us waited on with coffees and mimosas. Armando at the grill was incredible to watch. So fast and hard working - he did a great job keeping so many people fed with bacon, sausage, pancakes and omelets. Thank you Abigail, Leydi, Rubi, Brenda (and Brenda), Nico, Alberto, Uziel and Armando for making this a special trip. You all deserve a raise in pay ! Wonderful trip - can't wait to get back.

Nice week in timeshare (not all-inclusive)

We stayed here for a week using a timeshare from a friend. We really enjoyed the resort although I can't comment on the food and drinks because we weren't doing an all-inclusive package. There were a lot of good things about the resort: The rooms were spacious, updated, very clean, and well stocked (we were in a 1-bedroom). The location is excellent - about a 20 minute walk to town - so we walked in almost every day to get tacos or do an excursion. The resort is pretty small compared to others we've stayed at closer to Cancun, but the pools were nice and the hot tub was great for sunset. The activities team was awesome - especially Valeria, Francesca, Chloe, and Jeremy - keeping the water volleyball games fun and competitive every day. The shows in the evening are fairly small but the dancers are quite skilled and make them fun to watch. Minor gripes: 1. There's no place to hang out after the shows in the evening. Everyone just kind of wanders off and goes to bed (or goes into town) after about 8:30. It would be nice if there was a DJ and bar open outside a bit later just to provide a place to mingle and chat with people. 2. No beach volleyball - the beach is pretty narrow and slopes down to the ocean just outside the resort, so there's just a small area for beach chairs and no room for other activities. This is usually a highlight of our resort visits. 3. Towel reservations are a big thing here - by 8 am most of the chairs are "reserved" and many people don't use them all day. There was always a spot for us somewhere but more chairs would probably help, as well as more aggressive cleanup of chairs that had been left unattended for a long time.

    Excelentes vacaciones

We love coming to Cabo in the winter. We stay at either Villa del Palmar or Villa del Arco. This time Palmar with siblings and their spouses and their first time in Cabo. Our concierge superstar, Angeles, always welcomes us with a hug and looks after us very well. She is the best. The rooms are clean and spacious. The entertainment is awesome led by the super talented wonderful Laura. Her team is very impressive taking care of day time activities around the pool and then performing fabulous evening shows of dance and singing with a different performance each night. The pool concierge, Alberto is a very helpful friendly guy who is extremely dedicated to his role assisting the guests and looking out for them. The Villa group is within walking distance to town, a 20 minute easy safe walk, to explore the marina, the mall, shops and a myriad of restaurants and bars. Can't wait to return next year... Villa del Palmar in Cabo is the Best!

Great destination for a seven-day "fly and flop" vacation. Food is incredible and the drinks are mighty tasty too. But what really sets them apart at Villa del Palmar is the service. From restaurant/bar staff to poolside servers to maintenance staff, housekeeping, beach patrol and even security I don't remember seeing a single non-smiling face. Hard to single out individuals (everyone was super friendly) but shout-out to Eulogio Wilberth who will make sure your glass is never empty.

    Not for us

Started by wanting to give us a 90 minute tour of the grounds the morning following arrival. They would give us a free breakfast, and some coupons for food and drinks. Upon arriving we found out it was not a tour, just a sales presentation of this mediocre hotel. Many more hassles were involved which wasted about 3 hours of our vacation time. The hotel itself was ok, loud with construction during the day, no poolside recliners unless you get there super early, even midweek. If you don’t purchase the all inclusive for food and drinks, it’s a hassle. When you order a drink or food from their restaurants, you can’t just charge it to your room, you have to pay each time then and there. Would not return
