    Our favorite resort in Mexico!

Our favorite resort in Mexico! This was our 9th trip here and we will be doing our 10th trip in October. Just can't get enough of this place. This place has EVERYTHING you could want in a resort. The pro's definitely outweigh the cons, what little there are. Pros: 1.) Beautiful grounds 2.) Tons of restaurants to choose from that are all AMAZING. Haven't had a bad meal yet. 3.) Food truck tuna tostada! You'll thank me ;) 4.) Several bars that are air conditioned 5.) Specialty drinks in the evening 6.) Great resort for morning walks 7.) Amazing coffee shop that's open all hours of the day/night 8.) Amazing "Go Team". They always keep it going 9.) Very clean resort 10.) Favorite employee..............DORA! 11.) Rooms are great, even the deluxe Jr. suite. Cons: 1.) The plaza area can get really hot during the evening events. I wish they would consider installing some big fans in the corners of the plaza. 2.) VIM prices are running really high and has forced us to visit elsewhere. I wish they would come down in price because this is the only resort we want to go to.

Fun and relaxing trip! Unpopular opinion - doesn't live up to all the hype, but still a nice place.

There is a lot of hype surrounding the quality of this resort. While we enjoyed our time, our expectations were super high based on reviews and FB groups. We didn't experience great service at times and the food at the restaurants that we ate at were very similar or even slightly less desirable compared to other resorts we've been to in Cancun/Riveria Maya. The grounds were beautiful and full of flora/fauna. We stayed in a swim up room. The room was clean and had a great layout. Housekeeping was so so...there was a day where even though our housekeeping notification light was on all day because we were at the pool, they didn't do our room. We went to the Italian, Asian, and beach steakhouse. They weren't amazing but they were fine and did the trick. It seemed like the seafood entrees were the ones people raved about and my husband and I don't eat seafood. We couldn't get into the hibachi restaurant unfortunately, which I heard was really good. I found the food truck at the pool and room service to be the best food we experienced, but we did have very slow service at the food truck tables one time. The waiter served other people that got there after us before they even took our order. The drinks were pretty good - good pina coladas. The beach had red flags the day we went and lots of sargassum but the water was a pretty blue and nice for pictures. They also have nicely shaded lounge chairs on the beach. The entertainment team was quite good. Pool entertainment and the Imperial cover band at night was awesome. We didn't go to any of the shows they offered. Overall I would say food was a 6 out of 10, service was a 7 out of 10, and entertainment was a 9 out of 10. We probably wouldn't stay here again, however because we like to try new resorts and we have stayed at better ones in our opinion for less price.
