Things to Know

  • The resort offers excellent golf, a beautiful beach and on top of that, wonderful amenities. It's an all-inclusive vacation perfect for everyone.
Surrounded by ivory beaches and lush forests, this all-inclusive resort is home to beautiful scenery and a championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II. The spa is a peaceful retreat, featuring a special relaxation room and unique volcanic stone treatment.

The specially trained water sports staff will even help you learn the ropes. Or you can take it easy and lounge the day away at the two free-form pools. Relax among nearly a half-acre of gardens, and when the mood strikes, float over to the swim-up bar for a refreshing drink.

The resort features six restaurants to keep your hunger and taste buds satisfied. Enjoy French A la carte dining while overlooking the resort and golf course at Caurie Lobby Bar and Bistro. If you have a hankering for Italian, check out Faisanela for dishes from Northern Italy and enjoy terrace seating. Stamp out a snack attack at Spirula Pizza Bar, where you can grab a sandwich or a made-to-order pizza cooked in a wood-burning oven. Bamboo offers even more variety with Asian fusion fare. Dream Trip!

What a fantastic trip. I have been planning this trip for months and I am so grateful I picked the Westin Reserva. The property was beyond beautiful and each restaurant was a delight. We managed to hit every restaurant except Manglar and the Tapas bar. Each meal was special and delicious. I could have just spent each day walking around the property. The swim up bar was a highlight and my husband and I just floated in the pool and enjoyed the cool waters. I cannot say enough about the staff. All were so kind and remembered us at every turn. We have such a big travel list but I cannot wait to return to Costa Rica and the Westin Reserva!

    Pristine Beaches Luxury All Inclusive

Stayed here during transition season in November. Very nice property with extremely good service, very nice choice of restaurants - Stake, seafood, Asian, Italian and Mediterranean etc. All dinners were consistently of high quality of food and service. Resort has pristine beaches.

Westin and Conchal Fun made our trip amazing

We are enjoying our stay at Westin Reserva! The staff are kind and generous with information. There is a good variety of food and drink included! We used Conchal Fun to book an adventure outing (Mega Fun) and a day of fishing. Great English speaking guides that made each day super fun and rewarding. These will be the highlights of our trip. Andre is responsive to book with. We felt safe and included in the local culture.

    Very remote, but nice resort.

The resort was so nice! Food was really good. The staff except the front desk were so accommodating and friendly. Front desk failed to call on one wake up call. Did not let is check on early, even though they were under capacity. We had something delivered and we were told it wasn't there. We were notified after our stay that it did indeed arrive.

We have finally found our perfect hideaway, after 20 years of high end travel. Westin Conchal meets all our needs.

Overwhelming does not do justice to the resort. Much more than a resort, you quickly are absorbed into the Westin family. As you move from breakfast to the pool and to the beach you see the staff rotate through the numerous areas, always addressing you by name. From Sofia at Club check in [fast and comprehensive], to our concierges, Javier, Bergen and John, our needs were anticipated. The club pool swim up bar staff were engaging and expert. Blas, Brian and John provided local background on my chili guaro and guaro sours of which were numerous. The pool always clean and the temperature refreshing, adults only areas were a highlight. Our suite was truly most spacious and comfortable; a/c, soak tub and double showers enhanced our visiit. The balcony from our second floor, tower one was greeted each morning with Howlers, a myriad of birds and white stripe squirrels. Howler families appeared at many places around the grounds along with coatis and iguanas. Food at all restaurants was fresh, well seasoned and service was quick and very helpful with suggestions. We bumped into Tanya at three of our dining venues, obviously providing hands on oversight, which is an impressive feat at such a large property, and reassuring of the quality. Erik Garcia at the beach arranged perfect transport from the airport both to and from the resort. The Tempisque river tour with Julio showed us many crocs, capuchin, storks and snowy egrets. A highlight was lunch at the Coyote Ranch watching the family cook on traditional braziers……delicious! We were treated to a demo of pot throwing and purchased a couple of their unique and beautifully designed items. The drive to the river provided us, as Julio says, “the real Costa Rica”. Sunset cruise was spectacular on Lazy Lizard great crew, drinks and munchies. Best sunset ever! Conchal beach a superb example of Costa Rica’s concern for the natural environment. Vendors at the beach wonderful array of crafts, masseuses mama- san amusing with some Tico slang for “cheap charlie” banter from me. Very pleasant people with a great sense of humor, just trying to make a living. We walked to Brasilito along the beach then sticking to a trail above the rocky part, then crossing a small stream. We had lunch at Patagonia del mar, an excellent spot to try casado and a fruit lemonade “agua de sapo”, (toad water). The weather for our 8 day stay was 5 days clear and warm, with 3 days of intermittent rain which was a delight as we live in the Colorado desert. Several Ticos/Ticas demonstrated or expressed their pride in their country, blue zone, stable government, no army, fantastic weather and an economy based on sugar cane, coffee, chocolate and tourism. Over 50% of their country is “reserva” to preserve the productivity and the beauty of their land. Pura vida is an apt description of Costa Rica and the Westin Reserve Conchal combines the preservation of their area, with the opportunity to relax, repair and rejuvinate both your mind and body. Me encante este lugar. Tuanis! Ron and Vicky, with respect.
