Great experience at the Westin in Costa Rica
We enjoyed our entire experience! The hotel property had a very nice layout, the staff were all professional and courteous, the beach was fabulous!!!! Would definitely recommend and stay here again. We also set up a couple nice excursions with Erik G with blue google shirt who you will see on the beach. Enjoy!

Great staff, great food.
Resort is beautiful and staff is extremely helpful. Have stayed at a good handful of all inclusive resorts and the food at this resort is much better in comparison. Also if you’re looking for tours Erik G in the blue shirt on the beach is your guy.

Great family trip
The property was beautiful here! Monkeys were everywhere! Also saw the most beautiful suit just off the main lobby. Lastly, utilized ConchalFun to book a private sailboating adventure with my family- Highly recommend it to get a different perspective of the coast from the water!

A beautiful Tropical seaside garden to escape to
We wanted to let you know just how much we enjoyed our stay this past week. A Beautiful tropical garden to escape to.... Overall the park like setting , garden apartments, beautiful golf course , pool and beach were simply wonderful. A good selection of restaurant options and foods was much appreciated, everything was fresh tasty and beautifully presented. If forced to choose ....Faisanelle and the tapas bar were 2 of our favourites. A special shout out to Melanny at the concierge dept who made sure we were able to secure a reservation for 6 at the Bamboo restaurant, I was anxious to make sure we got that before one couple in our group departed a few days before us....she went above and beyond to reach out to make that happen, and the dinner was exceptional. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, the porch and garden view was a relaxing and comfortable spot to read and observe the passing wildlife, beds and linens were clean and comfortable, the fridge was always well stocked with water and beer, and we much appreciated the fruit and cheese tray that arrived after our Catamaran sunset tour and one other evening. Dalia was most often our room attendant, she was very pleasant and thorough in her job. We had a couple of small issues , one with slow internet and the other the TV wouldn't turn on, our calls were immediately responded to and the issues were resolved very quickly. Moving on to the activities.... - Morning walks on the beach were wonderful, the ocean is crystal clear, beach is comfortable to walk and you can go a good distance end to end....and beyond to the next village if you wish! We found the vendors present were very respectful and unobtrusive, it was fun to see what they had to offer - Samuel and Eduardo..... can't say enough about the enthusiasm and positive energy the team brings to the entertainment . The daily water aerobics sessions were fantastic.... , fun and engaging....and they kept everyone having an energetic workout. Carlos and Julia joined our sessions.... participating with the class and encouraging and helping those that needed it. - Samuel, Brian and Carlos.... the Iguana trail hike.... we participated in this walk 2x during our visit, both times Samuel lead the hike , Brian and Carlos accompanied us as well, checking in with everyone to make sure they were safe , happy and hydrated, they connected with many on an individual level, answering questions, sharing stories and further background. Samuel provided lots of great info on the plants, vegetation , community and the animals, through the walk and the view from the lookout is exceptional....and well earned especially on a very hot day! This team made each individual on the hike feel welcomed and made sure we had a super experience. The mocktail at the end of the hike was DELICIOUS and so refreshing. -- Pablo at the pool bar makes great drinks with/without alcohol, he always checked in with us around the pool , remembered what we liked and provided exceptional service throughout our visit. - The gym was a regular morning stop for some cardio and stretching, it's clean, bright and well stocked with towels, the cool towels were a nice touch, and the deck outside the weight room overlooking the pond is such a nice spot to do your mat work. So many exceptional and lovely individuals on this team....I know there are many I've missed ....these guys do a SUPER job We did one outside excursion , the sunset catamaran cruise from Tamarindo beach booked through costco tours at the resort. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, sunset was glorious, the captain went out of his way to find some rays jumping in the ocean, the bay we stopped at to swim/snorkle was beautiful. Plenty of beverages, the crew was attentive and checked in regularly with everyone to make sure they were comfortable. Late lunch was very yummy and lots for everyone, and the sunset/landing at Tamarindo beach was spectacular.

Family spring break trip
As a Christmas gift, we took all our children/their spouses on a family vacation. After much research, I selected this resort. We loved everything about this resort except for a few things. The first was the steakhouse they have on property was closed 3 out of our 7 nights due to a party renting it out. The second was unfortunately, our rooms were in the very back of the resort near the tennis courts. They constantly have trolly type buses picking people up to take them wherever they need to go. SEVERAL buses would pass us while we were carrying pool floats, beach bags etc (our arms were full), never offering a ride (and they would have maybe 2 people on the trolley). There were a couple of drivers who were good about slowing down and asking but the majority zoomed past us. Towards the end of the trip, I would have to get bold and stop them to ask. Some unfortunately would state “I’m not going that way” and take off. And lastly, our towels wouldn’t get replenished daily so we’d have to call the front desk to have more delivered for showers. On the positive side, the rooms were nice and big, the property is beautiful, the drinks were made good, the food was better than any other resort we’ve been to. The ocean was so much fun with the waves! You’d just have to ask them to bring beach chairs and umbrellas down to the beach and they were happy to do it. The messages on the beach were GLORIOUS!! We tried out several of the different colored tables and my personal favorite was the blue table with a lady named You-Knee. I know that’s not how you spell her name but I’m just spelling it on how it sounds. She is phenomenal, and she was the favorite from several of my group!! I didn’t bother booking any excursions ahead of time because I read enough of these reviews to know to look for a guy in a blue Google shirt with his name on it, Erik G. Erik recognized we were a new family there (he’ll be right at the beach entrance) and I talked to him about some ideas I had. A couple of the ideas I had, he said “not worth it”. Which I appreciated his honestly but I wondered if it would have been a waste. Those fears got put to bay when we did 2 of the excursions he suggested. I couldn’t have imagined NOT doing those excursions and I am so glad he veered me towards those instead of what I had thought of. We did the le leona waterfall which is an interactive excursion. We hiked, jumped off a few spots in the water, and swam to the waterfall. It was adventurous, challenging, thrilling, and so much fun! The views were beautiful and I’m so thankful he suggested that. The next excursion we did was the monkey and crocodile tour. We had a great tour guide for that and it was so neat to see the wild, untrained, animals UP CLOSE. That tour seemed short as the drive getting there/back was much longer than the actual tour. But nonetheless, having the monkey on our boat and the close encounter with the crocodile was worth it. Erik held GREAT communication before and after the excursions. He’d text what to bring, and confirm the time for the excursion. Afterwards he’d check in to see how it went. I had mentioned that our tour guide had taken pictures but we didn’t receive them and it took it into his own hands to collect the photos/videos and get them sent to me from him personally. We also used another guy on the beach for horseback riding and jet skis. His name was David. David was nice and trustworthy but if I had to do it all over again, I would have went with Erik. Erik can be the “middle man” for everything you’d want to do.
