Pleasant Holiday in Panama
Beautiful hotel grounds and pool with well situated rooms. Lobby was a lovely spot to sit for a nice drink…particularly when Edwin was there to create his delicious cocktails. Best mudslide ever! Rooms were clean but have seen better days. However, bedding and towels were lux. Only real limitations were the food options. Aside from the buffet there were three al la cartes but one was out of commission for undisclosed reasons. Overall food quality was ok, but not what you would expect from a 5 star resort. Proximity to Panama City and the Canal is a real positive for this hotel! Watch out for the noseeums…you really can’t see them but you certainly do feel them after they’ve bitten you! Use bug repellent as suggested by the hotel as they are in a rainforest

Dahlia is an amazing server !
Dahlia in the Steakhouse does an amazing job always making sure we were well taken care of ! Love her contagious smile and ambition! The hotel is a 3 star at best ! Property not very clean and a few times we were not left any washcloths - call housekeeping and still no luck! Check to make sure there is not a conference during your stay because it’s complete chaos!

A Room with a View
I enjoyed a waterfront room with a great view during my Westin hotel stay. My only complaint is the hotel's distance from the international airport - so taxi fare was expensive. That said, the hotel has much to offer the weary traveler, including several dining choices.

Group business trip
Renilio and the other staff were very attentive and friendly. Hotel is lovely. Food overall was ok but the Tierra y Fuego was delicious! My husband had the filet and I had the sea bass. We loved the balcony off our room and enjoyed watching the ships and boats.

Very good experience
Our trip to Panama was a first for us, and it turned out to be a memorable experience. The hotel exceeded expectations with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a lovely ocean view—though, as other reviews noted, the receding tide revealed a muddy landscape, so we didn’t venture into the ocean. Fortunately, the pools were excellent, and the breakfast buffet was top-notch. We dined at several hotel restaurants, all of which offered satisfying meals. With club access, we joined happy hour, enjoying the self-serve alcohol options, although the appetizers were underwhelming. Marilyn, a standout staff member, truly made our stay special. Her kindness and attentiveness were remarkable, ensuring we always had food on our plates and drinks in hand, whether at the club or the breakfast buffet. Despite not knowing Spanish, we found the entire staff patient, accommodating, and attentive. The fellow guests we encountered were also pleasant and welcoming. Renting a car was straightforward, though we had to purchase additional liability insurance. Navigating the roads was an adventure, as Panama’s drivers are bold and exits can be tricky to spot. That said, we were consistently impressed by the kindness, patience, and graciousness of Panamanians. While we hoped to snorkel, we couldn’t find clear enough water, even when driving north to Colon. Returning the rental car was simple, and despite these minor setbacks, our time exploring Panama City and its surrounding areas was genuinely wonderful.
