The Springs Resort and Spa was such a magical experience for us. My first time in Costa Rica I was sure the hype was just that. I truly didn’t expect the feeling I got when pulling into the resort. It felt so authentic and from the first face that greeted us to the last that said goodbye we felt like they were are friends and their friendly yet professional demeanor all lent to making this experience one we will never forget! Club Rio was filled with amazing experiences and though we didn’t have much time at the resort we took their night walk with Jonathon who made it such an adventure and went horseback riding with Oscar and it is something we will never forget! After horseback riding we stayed at club rio and checked out all the hot springs below the resort. What a gorgeous scene. Springs were displayed in the middle of nature where one could sit and talk to the Creator himself. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the employees or the resort itself and I can’t wait to come back with my family to share with them this oasis.

Extremely nice staff
Staff is extremely nice, all of them are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Jose and lady at front desk really stood out. But all were very generous, asked questions, and answered questions. You could do or order anything you want and can get anything at any time.

Immaculate Views, Top-Notch Hospitality
The Springs Resort and Spa lives up to its reputation; truly 5-star luxury. The grounds are immaculate and so thoughtfully designed to provide relaxation and privacy. The staff are some of the best I have ever encountered; so professional, polite, communicative, and over-the-top hospitable. Ely Martinez, in particular, was kind, knowledgable, and made himself available for any requests or questions. His tour of the grounds, accompanied by a delicious complimentary beverage, was the perfect kick-off for our stay. Make sure to check out the other springs at Club Rio. We did the wildlife sanctuary tour and were glad we did! We did find that the quality to price ratio of the food was a little disappointing; we opted to eat instead at some of the incredible Sodas in Fortuna and were much happier with that choice. All in all though, the Springs is a must-stay!

THE Only Resort and Spa of the La Fortuna Area worth staying at!
There are several key points to why we feel this resort is par none! Truly excellent in every sense. Location, service, and overall value. The location is simply unmatched. Upon arriving, you are staring at the Arenal Volcano. Each level of the resort has been architecturally thought through, whereby the guest and staff are constantly greeted with the awe inspiring Arenal Volcano! Truly spectacular in and of itself. The rooms were incredible, with the same beautiful view greeting us every morning before embarking on the day's journey! The service was incredible. We had a number of truly enjoyable interactions and service from the team! Starting with Estebon Vargas, our concierge and bellman. Esteban is just a 'mensch' and has an excellent disposition and care for his guests. Judging from the culture, I'm sure you will get an excellent concierge as they all are bred in the same mantra of customer first, but if you can, ask for the the man Esteban! Can't go wrong there! Bayron was the front desk manager and he was also an amazing host. He's very attentive and professional and will be the one you will want to work with. Fantastic service. Roosevelt is the Gran Jefe and truly conducts his team like an orchestra. Very attentive manager, he noticed my wife and I from afar and told his staff to take good care of us. Not because of any but simply because we were guests. Last but not least, check out the tasting menu with Tristan and Michael. These two gentlemen serve up an incredible tasting menu, whereby Michael is the sommelier and doesn't miss with his pairings. The aforementioned staff members are but a small slice of the experience guest will have when they visit the the Springs. The value for the Springs is excellent. Given the location, access to incredible activities, quality of service and dining, the Springs is a can't miss resort that anyone heading to La Fortuna MUST stay at! We will be returning annually. Literally the best family vacation experience!!!
Service: the service was absolutely, hands down the best we’ve had anywhere we’ve been! The staff all greets you with a smile and is constantly searching for ways to make your stay amazing. From Carlos, who gave us the welcome tour, to Byron, Maikol, Randall, Romeo and Fernanda at the various restaurants, “Speedy Gonzalez” and Oscar on the horse tour to the entire, and I mean entire, staff at Club Rio that welcomes you, guides you and gets you prepared for fun! Carla was an absolute delight and literally is always smiling and ready to help. Harley gave a very detailed Animal Reserve tour and helped our girls Rock Climb! Our last night here our girls enjoyed the monkey slide for several hours and Paula and Byron helped keep them hydrated, safe and made it wonderful. Cinthia and the gentleman that was here Saturday night & Sunday morning with her at the front desk were both knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and Eli, one of the golf cart drivers was “Johnny on the spot” and ready to get us going to the next destination faster! I’m probably forgetting several folks who were instrumental in making this the best family trip we’ve had but you can see the overwhelming investment the resort makes in their invaluable professional and friendly staff that make your stay so deeply enjoyable! Other things we really appreciated throughout our stay — started with the complimentary room upgrade. Most hotels won’t offer an upgrade even when it’s available and it’s a meaningful way to impress your guests!! Complimentary waters, coffee, showers, golf carts and towels everywhere. Even laundry. Thank you. The grounds and buildings are impeccable. Your maintenance and landscape crew is truly top notch! Nowhere is better landscaped or building spaces more aesthetic than this resort. Even the gutters are nice looking. We really appreciated the flexibility to order from any restaurant’s menu. That’s extremely helpful to keep everyone happy everywhere you go. The alcohol prices were in my opinion a bit high. In low season, it would be great to see a slight discount to those. We didn’t even mention the pools & springs but obviously they are just stunning and that’s why we came here. When you’re here, if you send pictures of yourself to your family, expect responses like “ WHERE is that?!?!?” This place is a sparkling gem!!!
