Corporate Retreat
The Royal Towers is the most convenient location on the Atlantis Property to enjoy all the amenities. Check-in was smooth, the staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Cabana Service at the Baths Colonnade Pool. Our special event was phenomenal at the DIG. Overall, the food was fantastic in the various restaurants and our Event.

We love the Atlantis!!
The staff and Bahamian people or very friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing time from start to finish and would highly recommend this resort, especially for anyone that loves sea life. Their aquariums and the care they take is truly remarkable.

Very expensive day out
My husband and I bought a day pass for Atlantis when visiting Nassau on a cruise ship today. Our initial impression was not promising due to the exceptionally unhelpful girl on the reception desk. When asking us where we were staying, we advised her that we were on the cruise ship Queen Victoria to which she replied dismissively ‘well I’ve never HEARD of that one’, (to which I felt like replying ‘well that sounds like a YOU problem!’) We then asked if she had a map of the resort to which she replied ‘No’. She then gave us hopelessly inaccurate directions to the aquarium which led to us getting totally lost before another member of staff rescued us and walked us all the way to the start of the aquarium. Cons The resort is HUGE - think theme park huge. Without a map you waste a huge amount of time and energy trying to get your bearings. We finally discovered (by asking someone else) that there is a map online, but it is very difficult to navigate the park whilst squinting at a tiny map on your phone. Signage is TERRIBLE. We took so many wrong turns and again wasted so much time. Everywhere you go there is thumping loud music. We didn’t find anywhere where we could sit quietly and relax (although to be fair we didn’t see everything because we just didn’t have time). Food outlets are mediocre at best (although actually many were closed), and trying to find one that did gluten free food was virtually impossible. Staff seemed disinterested in my dietary restrictions - at one outlet the girl stared at me cluelessly and told me she’d never heard of gluten free! The whole place was overrun by American teenagers. Of course this is great if you’re an American teenager, but maybe not your scene if you’re a middle aged English couple! The beating heart of the place appears to be the vast casino. Again totally not our scene. Pros The aquarium and outdoor marine life habitats are absolutely outstanding. I’ve never visited anything like it. It’s somewhere I wish I had brought my kids when they were small because they would have loved it. All the little children we encountered during our visit were all obviously blown away by the sharks, stingrays, swordfish and countless other marine wildlife they were seeing. It is without doubt the best aquarium I have ever been to. The extensive grounds and marine habitats are immaculately kept. We didn’t use any of the aqua venture facilities but they looked fun and in good condition. All in all, I’m glad we visited Atlantis, but we effectively paid $400 to visit an aquarium with a water park attached. I did enquire about the dolphin encounter but when I discovered it was $275 per person, we decided it was just not worth it. So I’m glad we came, but would I return for a holiday? Absolutely not.

Not the experience we envisioned
This place boasts that it's great for children, when in fact it is entirely the opposite. No umbrellas on the beach for kids, not enough ramps/elevators around the resort for strollers, not enough activities for kids under 4, and EXPENSIVE AS HELL!!!!! 10-12 dollars for a large water bottle, EXCEPT if you go to the one store in the resort that sells it for 4! But next door to that, at the convenient store, the bar, and the bakery they sell it for 10, 11, or 12. It depends on the day and time- that's what they said to us. I spent 23 dollars on a bag of chips. They literally rape you here. Save your money and go to an all-inclusive. The worst part about our entire experience is that the staff is extremely unfriendly, not helpful, rude, no one knows the directions around this HUGE resort. Not one staff member was able to give us clear directions, being that the resort is so big it was extremely unhelpful. There are only digital maps, no paper. Call me old fashioned, but it would be nice to hold a nice map in my hand while trying to navigate this large space. Especially when you're losing service in elevators, the caves, the beach etc. Technology always fails, but a trusty map will always be by your side! Lastly, if you do decide to go after reading this post. Just a heads up, that no one working there likes to share with you, every bill automatically includes a 15 percent service fee for the workers. So you don't have to go out of your way to tip the workers because it's already included, ESP if they are rude to you or ask for a tip. Which we did have people ask us for a tip, totally awkward. Oh and one more thing. My 4 year old son fell in our room and was bleeding. I was alone in my room at 10pm with my 3 kids (4 year old, 2 year old, and 4 month old). I thought it was a no brainer to call down to the front desk to have someone bring me a Band-Aid for my crying son. First, they said they didn't have Band-Aids and I'd have to buy a box at the convenient store. Then, when I said I couldn't leave my room because 2 out of 3 of my kids were sleeping they said they'd contact a manager. Never got a call back, had to call back myself. Finally, they said they had the Band-Aid only this time they didn't have anyone to bring it up for me, so they told me to go down to the front desk. I responded by saying, "well can I order room service?" And they said of course I could. Then, I said, "well instead of them bringing me room service, how about that same person just brings me a Band-Aid?!" They said ok and promised they'd give one to me. Never got that Band-Aid.... Thanks Atlantis for showing us how unreasonably expensive some places are, extremely unaccommodating and rude some people are, and how never to go to a non all-inclusive resort again with our 3 children.

This ain’t it!
The entire hotel is dated. The food is super expensive. The people and services are the best part. I must try the newer ones. Don’t waste your money. I’m here now and can’t wait to go home. Don’t do it. Don’t do it. Save your money. Thank me later.
