Excellent family trip
We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas break. The service , food and gym were excellent. The beach is amazing. Even with the hotel at full capacity it did not feel overly busy. We were able to get chairs at all the pools and the beach. My kids are 5 and 7 and had the best time. They loved collecting signatures from the staff on their scavenger hunt. The New Year’s party was so fun and well done! The only complaint that I have and I feel that the property should change is they should have a kids club on property. They have the ambassador of events but I didn’t feel comfortable having my kids going around the property on various excursions. Also, some of the excursions involve water and by the ocean. I think it would be so much better if they turned the ambassador of events into a kids club with toys, games, arts and crafts and activities throughout the day

Perfect Holiday getaway
The great reviews of the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman are all true!!! This was our second visit to the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman over Christmas. This year we upgraded from the Resort view 3 Bedroom residential suite to the Ocean View one. The ocean view from our patio early in the mornings and evenings was definitely worth the upgrade. We have already booked the Ocean Front 3 bedroom for next year. The three bedroom residential suites have three large bedrooms and baths, one large patio and two smaller ones, kitchen, laundry, and every convenience for a family stay. This year we took advantage of the option to have a Christmas dinner delivered to our suite. It was delicious and fun. Unfortunately we didn’t get the Christmas ornaments mentioned in another review. EVERY staff member at this resort is unfailingly trained to make the guests happy, which is the “vibe” you encounter everywhere. The housekeeping staff will even clean your room at your convenience not theirs. The resort was packed but had plenty of staff in every area. They also have enough pool and beach chairs to avoid the 7am dash to reserve them. A special thanks to Patricia, Danny and Hudson for our perfect Cabana experience. Although there are many fine restaurants on the island, you could dine at the various restaurants on the resort property for a full week and enjoy every meal. Even the room service was terrific, in fact..the best we have ever experienced! The only area that could use some improvement is the Cabana rentals. It is difficult to get the details about the cabana pricing and reservations in advance, We rented a Haven cabana for $2200/day for a full week and thought it was worth every cent if you can swing it. However it is not clear that when the website states the cabana accommodates 6 people that means maybe 8 depending on upon your family size but they are not meant to serve as a party area for 15-30 extended friends and family. There is just not enough space between cabanas to allow this use of the space. To avoid this issue, the website should state a maximum capacity for each cabana type. Also, it would be helpful to have some guidelines regarding appropriate tipping for the cabana service. Tips are not included in the cabana fee nor added to the check like every other service on the resort. Some folks assumed the staff was paid at a higher rate so tips were unnecessary, some tipped a token amount, and some tipped 10%- 20%. It seems it would be fair to the hardworking Cabana staff to offer some guidelines.

WOW! Service above and beyond expectations
1. Customer service is second to none. Literally every single employee, from concierge to restaurant managers, from pool and beach attendants to waiters and housekeepers are extremely polite, thorough and go above and beyond to make your vacation special, accomodate your every request and ensure that you have the best experience. Attention to details is fantastic! NEVER have I seen that attitude from the hotel staff anywhere in the world in any of the leading hotels (Four Seasons, Montage, Mandarin Oriental, Waldorf Astoria and other Ritz Carlton hotels). 2. Even though the Hotel opened its doors almost 20 years ago, there's not a hint of it being old. Everything is top notch quality. Rooms are welcoming, stylish and very well maintained. The housekeeping is fast and efficient. Well stocked mini-bar. The hotel is located right in the middle of the 7 mile beach, at the best location in my opinion. 3. The hotel has amazing amenities: everything is new and functional. The gym has extensive professional grade equipment, with an outdoor lawn with a boxing bag and other equipment on it as well. Basketball court and kid's aqua park - beautiful, a great entertainment for the little ones. 4. The food quality is incredible. SEVEN, TAIKUN, JUN near the main pool (every item on lunch menu, that is not as fancy as the dinner, is delicious. Try an Ecuadorian Shrimp Ceviche, beef tacos or an alcohol- free ("spiritless") cocktail - Sacred Aloe. ) If you want some high end spirits, like a 20+ years old scotch or a 25 y.o. sipping rum, go to the bar near the main entrance. You can accompany that with a Cuban cigar, that they have as well. They had s'mores on the beach in the evening for the kids! I was told that they were doing it during the Christmas week. Overall our stay was just super! We will definitely be back! Please, keep up the good work and preserve that piece of paradise! If you are reading the reviews (like I did) trying to decide where to go in the Caribbean, do NOT think twice. Just go to Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman - you won't be disappointed.

Some of the best customer service we have ever had!
I just wanted to send out a huge shout out to the incredible team at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman and even more specifically the wonderful team in the club lounge. (Florin, Cebo, Daniel, Silah, Lester and the rest of the crew). I spent a week there with my family. Been titanium for years (lifetime plat). Spent many days in many of their various hotels, mostly for work. Been a long year so wanted to spend a relaxing week on a beach with some good hospitality. We could not have been happier with our choice. From the second we checked in they bent over backward for us . They remembered our names and chatted with us daily while we ate in the club. The hotel gave us complementary beach bags, hats, and a beautiful fruit plate when we checked in. They gave us adorable ornaments on Xmas. They gave my wife a collapsible doggie water bowl because she talked to them constantly about our dog that could not travel with us. They sent free French press coffe every morning complementary to my room. They were wonderful concierges who booked trips around the island for us. They even asked to take a pic with us and many of the team when we were checking out and gave us the Polaroid. I even screwed up my booking and when Daniel emailed me to tell me they were excited to meet me and the fam in a few weeks I realized I booked the wrong days compared to my flights (been a long year!!). Instead of me needing to contact multiple companies, he told me to sit tight and wait 24 hrs. He contacted me the next day to tell me he took care of it and was able to move my check in and out dates and not to worry. This was my first personal vacay of more than 4 days in over 2.5 years . Could not be happier with the choice of this property and their incredible commitment to customer service. Thanks Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman, you have a life long fan.

Wonderful family stay from start to finish.
Amazing visit to the Caymans at the Ritz. Impeccable service and friendly staff. Aileen was our excellent personal assistant who helped us plan in advance and was available during the entirety of our stay. Our family of 10 enjoyed the three bedroom suite and kitchen facilities. Great access to the beach, wonderful restaurants on site — including Blue, which we loved.
