    Beautiful, safe and clean.

Highly recommend!! We had an incredible stay Tuesday-Sunday. The rooms were so cute and clean. The beach was amazing. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. BOOK THE BIKE TOUR. You won’t regret it. We met John Gomes on the bike tour and he was our go-to guy for the rest of our stay. Even tho the tour was full, they fit us in for a truly unforgettable experience. We explored the island and even got to snorkel with sea turtles. The food was incredible. We got to try every restaurant at BOTH resorts. The Divi Divi is only a short walk (or shuttle if you prefer!) away. I would say the Tam was quieter than the Divi, but again you have access to both. The island in general is very clean and safe. There’s tons to see and do. We also paid to do a UTV tour and while it was super fun, honestly the bike tour was better. We will definitely be back to see our new friend John!

Always good to be in Aruba

I started coming to the Tamarijn 16 years ago. There have been quite a few changes in the last few years. Some good, some not so good. There is plenty to do since the Tam and the Divi are sister resorts. Food is good, the entertainment is good, the pools etc. My issue this year has been with the coffee. When I wake up early in the morning I enjoy sitting on the balcony and drinking my morning coffee while listening and watching the ocean or reading a book. The ocean is directly in front of each room so what better way to spend the early morning. The coffee machines in the room do not work properly. I requested a working machine and never receive one. The walk to get coffee is far. Since I was in building 19 I assumed that I could walk down to the Bunker Bar which is located between buildings 18 and 19 to grab a cup. Needless to say they no longer have their coffee machine in the Bunker. The coffee cups are now these little black cups that look like espresso cups. Where did the real cups go with lids? Walking to building 19 from the lobby with a hot cup and no lid does not work. Whoever decided this was a good idea is most likely not a coffee drinker. The Bunker bar is open from 11 to 7p.m. I personally would like to have seen the Bunker open a bit later. At least until 9 since there are people on the far end of the resort. The other thing that needs to be replaced are the so called "water bottles". They are shaped like men's urinal bottles. Please re think this design. Nobody wants to drink from something that looks like that. All in all, I will be returning next year to meet up with friends. I do hope the coffee situation gets corrected and the "water bottles" are changed. Maybe put in a coffee shop like the one by the Divi? Something for those of us that enjoy sharing a good cup in the morning.

If you want all inclusive, Tamarijn is a Great choice!

Tamarin is a great place to stay. Rooms were good size and the building we stayed in was very close to the ocean. There has been beach erosion and some of the buildings do not have a sandy beach in front of them. That said, a short walk down and you are laying on a nice beach with the waters’ edge steps away. The people are awesome. We did the e-bike tour and snorkeling and Zef & Steve went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. BTW, that trip was included as part of our stay at Tamarijn. It was our first trip to Aruba and like so many others, we fell in love with the island, the people, and the weather. A couple of recommendations… Being so close to the equator, the sun gets very hot. Bring 40-50 spf sun tan lotion ( 3 oz bottles to meet airline rules) Depending on the day and what the ocean is doing, there can be a strip of rocky area getting into the water. It was only 5-6 ft wide and soft sandy bottom lies just beyond. I wish I had a pair of those rubber water shoes that day. Two days later it was gone with the tides. Bring a large water bottle. There are filtered water stations throughout the property You won’t find plastic water bottles. I wish the U.S. would receive that memo. The island is clean and safe. If you have not yet been to Aruba, go! You’ll love it. And if you’re looking for an all inclusive, Tamarijn is a great choice.

    Relax, you're on vacation!

All the units are oceanfront so you have great views. If you want to walk out of your room to a sandy beach also be prepared to do a lot of walking within the resort, as it is spread out, not like staying in a high rise hotel. We stayed in room 1104 which was the farthest most room, 2nd floor, boulders out front but still an ideal location for us. We were close to the restaurants and lobby and a 2 minute walk the other direction to Divi beach where we would secure our spot after breakfast. Only Bldgs 18-25 have a sandy beachfront but you will walk quite a distance for all your meals. The Tamarijn is adult-oriented and not ideal for kids and we saw few in October. We took a taxi to the high-rise area and shops at night. We thought the Tam pool was too sunny, noisy and crowded. We only went to the Dutch village pools and there is a bathroom to use nearby at Bldg 17 or 18, opposite the Bunker Bar. Would have liked to have seen a pool attendant during the day to clean out leaves but whatever. Seems almost all maintenance is done during night hours. We always filled our Yeti at the bar first and our free water bottles with tap water which is fine and there are ice machines located every other bldg. The towel exchange is kind of far from pool so we only exchanged every other day. The Tam is eliminating plastic waste which is admirable so couldn't even buy single waters in the resort store. Both Tam and Divi had nice stores for browsing. We took the shuttle daily back and forth from outside the lobby to the Divi. Don't expect it to pick you up at your room, though if you ask you can get dropped off on the way back. Agree there should be more bell boys and shuttles near the lobby on weekends with so many check-ins and departures. We usually went to Divi at night for the music, checked schedule on App. The music only goes til 10pm at the Tam and 11pm at Divi. We never heard music or drum beat from our room. There are 2 rest rooms in the lobby, the largest one is behind Reception desk. They were always clean. We tried all the specialty restaurants at both resorts except Pure Lime because my husband doesn't like Mexican so I had tacos at the buffet. We made dinner reservations for first two nights before we left home from the App. While there the App didn't work well so we had to wait in line each morning at the Concierge for reservations 2 days out which was a minor annoyance. We ate dinner at the Divi buffet once since the Tam buffet is only open B and L. You need to take your time at the buffet and read ALL the signs as there are many choices to order. Lots of fruit, salads and smoothies too. They give you an annoying buzzer but your food is ready in minutes. Breakfast crepes were great and the wait service was very good and friendly at all the restaurants. They don't leave s&p at the table because it's 90 degrees and humid. Just ask! We always left small cash tips. Also pizza at main bar is very good for late afternoon or evening snack. We thought there was sometimes a lack of restaurant management and coordination of reservations with the concierge. At The Red Parrot the hostess had to set tables while we waited and there were empty tables that could have accommodated more guests. We had no issues with the adult beverages because we know specialty drinks everywhere are sugary! You can order straight alcohol if you prefer. They have mimosas at breakfast only on Sunday. You can order alcohol at buffet at lunchtime too. Our room was on the small side, not enough hooks to hang wet clothes but we've encountered that problem before. Not enough towels first day but easy to get more from maid service and keep rest of week. Used espresso machine in room every morning, have to lift out of tray to find power button on side near bottom. We never smelled sewage anywhere in the resort. A/C was very cool and powerful in room. Bed very comfortable, though pillows were too plump for us. The bracelet you have to wear is uncomfortable the first couple days until it softens up but it sure beat a key card. It was a real convenience. We thought the Tamarijn was a very nice, clean, 4 star all-inclusive resort.

Would never return. Ruined Aruba for us

WHEN ARRIVED WE WERE TOLD WE NEEDED TO WAIT FOR SHUTTLE TO TAKE OUR LUGGAGE TO ROOM. WAITED OVER 20 MINUTES AND WALKED WITH OUR LUGGAGE TO OUR ROOM. WHICH WAS A GOOD WALK AFTER FLYING 12 HOURS AND IN JEANS IN 100 DEGREE WEATHER. ROOM SMELLED LIKE RAW SEWERAGE. IT WAS HORRIBLE HAD TO LEAVE THE BATHROOM DOOR CLOSED WHEN NOT IN USE AND OPEN WHEN SHOWERING TO LET THE SMELL OUT OF THE ROOM WE WERE NOT TOLD THE BUFFET WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR DINNER AT THE TAMARIJN. SO YOU BASICALLY HAVE 3 OPTIONS FOR DINNER AND ALL REQUIRE RESERVATIONS. SO WHEN WE ARRIVED AT 4:00 PM NO RESERVATIONS AVAILABLE AND NO BUFFET UNLESS WE WANTED TO GO TO SISTER HOTEL DIVI BUT WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE SHUTTLE. CALLED FOR A SHUTTLE TO PICK US UP NEVER CAME CALLED 2X AND WAITED 45 MINUTES DIRTY DISHES LEFT ON LOUNGE CHAIRS IN FRONT OF OUR PATIO SAT THEIR FOR 2-3 DAYS NO ONE WALKING AROUND PROVIDING DRINKS OF OFFERING FOOD AROUND POOL WE HAVE BEEN TO D.R. AND MEXICO SEVERAL TIMES-SERVICE AND ROOMS 100 % BETTER
