  Resort not what I expected

  Resort not what I expected. Some staff were absolutely amazing and really helped make the experience better, however many times when asking for typical food that can be found in menu, we were told it wasn't served only to find it served with other things on menu. Everything came from the same kitchen, so this confused me. Most of the food we tried was okay, only a couple items would have stood out as better than good. Rooms were okay, shower drain covers were broken off potentially causing a hazard. We were not able to get the moisture in our room under control and everything left damp. Fitness facility had multiple faulty pieces of equipment. Overall, not my favorite resort experience at all.

  Sunscape = Scam (do not waste your hard earned money or vacation time here.)

  This is the worsr resort I have ever been to. I have been coming to Mexico since I was a child. I am 35 years old. This place is a scam. Do not waste your money. No (working) climate control in the room. No hot water in the rooms. Room keys work 50% of the time. Rooms are FILTHY. The cleaning staff has come once (it is Thursday and I have been here since Sunday.). You only get to use about 30% of the property; unless you pay $180,000+ to join some timeshare that gets sold to you as a “once in a lifetime opportunity”. This week has been a huge waste of my time and money. I will NEVER stay in a Hyatt EVER again. I have three very good friends who work at Hyatt head office and I cannot wait to tell them all about this week. 😂

  Great location, beach and pool. For the price, you can't beat it.

  Great value for the cost. Great beach and pool. Food was OK but for the price paid it was adequate. The staff were very helpful and kind. The location was also wonderful. The room had new AC which worked awesome, the best of any resort. Raul, our activities guy was great.

  Not a good Christmas vacation experience

  The resort staff are friendly and th property is well kept. My complaint is that the first night of our stay the toilet n our bathroom kept running water out from the bottom of the toilet. Bu morning there was water across the whole apartment I reported this to the front desk, they had maintenance come and take a look, and told us it was broken (no kidding!) Back to the front desk the concierge said he could get us into another room later on today. The room is not as nice, but it is a room I told him the toilet water got into our suitcase and now our clothing is septic smelling. He said he’d have to ask a manager if he could have it laundered for us When I asked if there was some compensation for us on account of our circumstances, he said ‘I am doing something. I’m giving you a new room’. My response was that I am pretty sure you HAVE to provide guests with a working toilet, so that wasn’t above and beyond. Only necessary. I asked him for a something - he said he didn’t know what I was talking about. I rattled off a few suggestions like;bottle of wine, a small room upgrade. a discount on an excursion, ANYTHING. the conceeirge said he’d have to wait to see what him manager says. I’ll keep you posted. I understand tourists come in droves to this resort. But’ really’ no apology or compensation. For toilet water in our clothes or for changing rooms twice in one day.? UNBELIEVABLE.

  We'll probably visit this one again

  We've stayed at 5 or 6 resorts on Cozumel and this was our 2nd time here. The resort is average, the food is average, but we planned to eat most lunches and dinners off resort as we always rent a Jeep and drive around the island and to town as well. The beach is very nice and the beach bar nice. We had a newer, beach-front room and it was very nice. Our spa experience was very nice as well.
