    Sunny getaway

Oscar was awesome . Staff was really friendly. It was easy to get off and back into the resort. The food was adequate. It could use more music around the pool during the day. Could also use an extra bartender during peak hours. But all in all we had a great time.

    Disappointed

Started with double beds instead of king bed. Terrible beds completly worn out sagging terrible sleep. Sore back King bed a few days later. Even worse bed Bad sleep sore back. Not to mention noise outside betwen 3 and 5 am. Moving stuff and hammering something. First day big screen for football day was good. Food ok cafeteria food. Really only a 3 star motel at best. So was not expecting too much. Not enough chairs for guests. So tried to police it.. We were ok with the rules but they never paid attention to their 1 hr rule . Only guessed how long you were gone . Could be just in pool or at lunch. Stuff taken away. We made sure to limit our time away from chairs only to find our stuff removed. When we talked to them about it they were the rudest ppl i can think of. Now we are the ones at fault and watched like hawks and god help you if you tried to take a towell to your room. Even though others had towels on chairs at 7am. They only give them out at 8 am That is if they show up on time. We have stayed here before and had a good trip. This time too many things were bad to mention them all. Beds need replacing. Facilities need a lot of work . Sliding doors in rooms dont lock, tiles falling off in pool and a total disrespect for guests if you question anything. Location is good but that is not enough. We will never go back and suggest others give it a miss too.

    Beyond my wildest dreams

The worst PV hotel experience in the 21 years i have been here. We checked in and were not given the King bed room the travel agent arranged and got 2 double beds for 5 days then were moved. Both rooms had sliding doors with broken locks and had old sacked out mattresses. The second room even had a cockroach in it and also the 3 pieces balcony furniture had stain that came off on my new swimsuit. We realized early on that there was no point complaining to the staff. They were either indifferent and arrogant for pretended interest. We had been here in 2023 and although there were renovations which are annoying, continuous and still unfinished the previous entertainment group were fun and the ocean location was good. Never perfect but manageable. Also, before we had a good room with a good bed and view. A few new rules were issued during our stay, due to the lack of chairs obviously. A note was slid under all hotel guests stating that if you left your pool chair for more than an hour they would take your things. This happened to us twice, and once in 45 minutes as we pointlessly argued. We tried to play by the rules but it was difficult. We were constantly on the clock, checking the time. It was stressful walking on the beach, or hanging out in the pool talking at the swim up bar, going for a meal. It was like being at some type of job. On our second day we had two individuals from off the beach come and sit in our chairs on our towels with our personal items on the table. They would not get off the chairs and i went to the lady with glasses in uniform standing supposedly watching for such things. She did nothing and seemed to not understand English. This was when we understood these people dont care about the hotel guests, just the money. The other newly unforced rule at the hotel was that no one was allowed to bring their towels to their rooms in order to place them on a chair early the next day. Many still secretly took them to their rooms and we tried one day but a man followed us into the building and grabbed them off us. The next morning before the towels were available i looked down from my balcony and counted 15 placed on chairs. Being policed by the hotel staff was creepy. The pool was always fun if not a bit dirty. Also being worked on by construction men while we swam. They will be there gor a long time I imagine. Dirty too. Bandages, pieces lime, sand in pool and one day another big cockroach like in our room was floating. The 2nd elevator is still broken since last time we visited and the service elevator is shared with the maids now. The place was just ok before but this time it was beyond horrible ! I gave it a 1/5 but it really minus 8 Sadly its s very mismanaged property and next year we will chose another location to try. Oh I forgot to mention… the water was shut off the last day we were there. 9-2pm

Long wait times everywhere you go

Not at all what is pictured. Wait times were terrible everywhere we went. Hard to find bottled water and mini bar not stocked unless you pay an extra fee. Food selection is minimal and not many restaurants to choose from. They each had long wait and service times. Spend a little more for a better resort.

    Fabulous Location

Everyone is so pleasant and kind with the service. Food was excellent and I really appreciated the Mexican food that was served. So yummy! Waiters were great - really knew what you wanted once they got to know you. Especially Mario - excellent customer services. Overall, everyone had excellent service. Miguel at the Beach was fantastic too. House keeping was superb.
