Nice stay...with good there's always improvements
My husband and I just came back from Sunscape on April 10th. Upon check in as SunClub visitors. We received cards which they expected you to carry to receive the premium alcohol. The bartenders did not ask to see the card. There was no way to tell who paid for the upgrade from who didn't. They need to stick to giving you a wristband, to make it easier for everyone. We had a room with an oceanview which was nice to wake up to each morning. There could be more chairs on the beach for SunClub members. The Cabana by the washroom was exposed to waste draining on the beach. It was disgusting to smell the sewage, if you sat within that area. The beach is beautiful, but very rocky to enter. I advise bringing water shoes. The snorkeling is very nice too. I was very impressed of the accessibility for those with disabilities. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous. Housekeeping was excellent. All the restaurants were nice and we enjoyed eating breakfast on the beach at Oceana. There were a lot of heathly options for food. I enjoyed the cafe which served pastries, sandwiches and specialty coffees. We went into town for the day in a minivan and enjoyed it! We had traditional food and experienced the beautiful art work and murals. Mambo Beach is really nice outdoor plaza with beach clubs, restaurants and shops. It's conveniently a short walking distance from the resort. You do have to pay an entrance fee and chair/cabana fee at the beach clubs. For my husband's birthday we had a beautiful dinner at Boca's. An honourable mention to the VIP services staff. Special thank you to "Brie", with her advice on excursions and making my husband's birthday special. She went above and beyond. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Sunscape.

Loved our trip!!!
Beautiful resort and amazing staff. Every request was met and we truly enjoyed our stay. Food options would be the only complaint but it is very minor and was still able to find options. Beach cabanas were heavenly. If looking for a quieter beach option Sun Club is the way to go and worth the upgrade. If want the activities do the main pool area. Breathtaking sunsets!

Sunscape - Sun Club
Great staff, nice beach, decent entertainment. Specialty restaurants were very good. Buffet was typical for buffet. The beds and pillows are extremely hard. Stayed in Bldg. 2, and upgraded to Sun Club, which was a waste of money. Did not really give you much extra. Because we were in bldg 2, Sun Club area was at the other end of the resort, so rarely even went down there! The room was extremely outdated, and would be about a 2 star in the states. The AC barely worked, and we had to ask for a fan. I am actually surprised this is a Hyatt property and not updated. The all inclusive is nothing compared to Mexico or DR. Do not go expecting that. We had a great time though. We went for beaches and snorkeling, not really to hang at the resort.

The beach was beautiful but the rest of the resort was unacceptable!
The beach is beautiful, the food is horrible, the conditions of the room are outdated and tired. Sun Club did not give us any perks and I would not pay extra for it at all. The lounge chairs need to be replaced and more are desperately needed. Food was the worst of any AI I have ever stayed at!

Accessible for ALL
Great place to dive and unwind. Sunscape is set up well for accessible needs. Ramps and sidewalks connect people with accessible needs with all of the restaurants, dive shop, bars. Perfect responses for all people. I plan on returning within the year.
