Our stay at the St Kitts Marriott hotel
We had a very nice experience at the St Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino. I was very pleased with access to the chairs/pool area, the food, restaurants on the property and how helpful the concierge and others were in arranging for us to get dining reservations. The workers on the premises were so friendly and kind to us. Very helpful. The only issue I had was that the beach was not the nicest. The beach has plenty of great seating under the huts, but the water was not that clean. I saw several pieces of plastic floating around in the water coming up from the water and onto the beach. That did not entice me to swim there at all. Also, in our room, we did not get any replacement for our lotion that ran out nor did we get additional soaps when our bar of soap was very small. This occurred day after day. I'm also skeptical if there was any cleaning of the floor. Otherwise, everything was cleaned very well, the shower, and the bedding and clean towels provided. In addition, the first night we arrived, we went to the bar area to order food. It took at least an hour to receive our food, which was lobster macaroni and sushi. We couldn't understand what took so long and saw others that were there very long periods of time that didn't get their food until much later, as well. Overall, though, we truly enjoyed our stay and it was a great experience!

A Tale of Two Cities or Two Hotels
i have read all the glowing reviews and saw the photos of the room and beach. I stayed at this hotel during the third week of February and neither my room nor the beach looked anything like those photos. Furthermore, the beaches in St. Kitts are open to the public. So anybody and everybody hangs out there. It was neither empty nor as pristine as their photo suggests. Frankly, I think both the room and beach photos are staged. As for those glowing reviews, here what I noticed: The adult pool was small and crowded, although they did seem to have enough pool chairs. The kiddie pool was filled with, you know, kiddies. The sand at the beach was nice, but the water was very rough. While I was there I did not see anyone swimming in the water. Probably because they didn't want to be carried out to sea. The food at Fire Restaurant was very good. I ate there 2 nights and had gilled salmon and a 12 oz. steak. Both of them were cooked to perfection. I, also, ordered from the room service menu. My stomach is still mad at me for that one. My room, OMG, where do I begin. First, and foremost, let me inform you that I reserved and paid for a Luxury King room with a Pool view. There was nothing luxurious about that room and my pool view was that of a low hedge. Needless to say, I did not get what I paid for. The room was lousy, I had to request wash cloths and hot water on day one. I got some wash cloths but only managed to get hot water in the shower. Next, this hotel does not disclose that there are NO ELEVATORS in any of the outside buildings. Only the Main Building has an elevator; and there is no guarantee that you will be placed there. They will tell you on thing over the phone, then feign amnesia at check in. So, if you have mobility issues, choose another hotel. Lastly, the people are, for the most part, pleasant and mild-mannered. However, they can also be wily and indifferent. So, don't expect them to roll out the welcome mat. Even though their main source of revenue comes from tourism, they seem blase about it all. So, I will not be returning to St. Kitts nor to this hotel. Moreover, I will not suggest any of my friends or family members stay at this hotel. If they want to see St. Kitts, I will tell them to take a cruise that makes a stop at St. Kitts. Sorry for the long review, but I had a great deal of ground to cover.

Wonderful island of St Kitts and a property that has top staff members
We are repeat guests of the Marriott in St. kitts. This is our first time back in 4 years and we found this resort to have a wonderful staff as it had in the past. (This was a 2 weeks stay) Incredibly friendly people in many areas of the hotel. Our front desk person was Cassandra. She was extremely helpful when we had some questions about our room and remembered us throughout our stay. We went to her with questions and she was kind enough to give us help and advice when needed. She went above and beyond what I’ve seen other front desk people do. She was always friendly when she would see us walk by when we were going out. The hotel is older but it is clean inside and out. The food was good but service in some areas was very slow. You need to be patient or tell them you’re in a hurry - which we weren’t. The pool was nice with a few options as well. The large pool had lots of activities and great staff throughout the pool bars, restaurant and pool hut. There are two quieter pools for those who prefer that on vacation. They do clean the beach daily and was clean most days depending on the wind and what it might have wash up afterwards. Nice chairs and cabanas on the beach. They do have a small casino for those of you that like to gamble otherwise the night entertainment is in the lobby bar on certain nights. Many great places on this island to eat at with lots of fresh seafood and fish. I find this entire island full of friendly people who appreciate having visitors stay on their island. We will be returning again next year for another 2 week stay

Beautiful hotel
The hotel was beautiful and the pool area was fun. The service is definitely hit or miss. The band at night in the bar was really good. Beach is nice but quite windy. The food was good not 5 star but good. We are a few minor issues with our room but they promptly fixed them. I would recommend it to a friend!

Another wonderful trip to St. Kitts!
Second time visiting the island and second time staying here. Staff are friendly and courteous. The room was clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Food was great and the little artisans market on the lower level was charming. Some great finds there especially the sea glass! We will definitely be back!
