    Located near the beach offering casual, al fresco dining with Caribbean grill specialties for lunch. In the evening, the Lava Rock offers a unique dinner experience serving fresh ingredients that’s cooked right at your table.     Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Ocean Terrace offers a wide variety of buffet items including hot and cold dishes, soups, fresh fruits and salads, a made-to-order omelet station as well as culinary theme nights throughout the week. Guests can dine al fresco on the large outdoor terrace or inside the air-conditioned restaurant.

    Great for Plane Spotters, Not for Peace and Quiet

    Sonesta Ocean View is a beautiful and well-maintained hotel. However, it’s situated almost directly in line with the runway of St. Maarten's airport. Over 80 planes fly extremely close to or directly over the hotel every day. If you’re a fan of plane spotting, this is the perfect place to stay. But if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, this hotel is definitely not the right choice.

    This is not a 5 star establishment. Maybe a 3.

    The only thing five star at this hotel is the butler staff and the spa. This is not a five-star establishment. It is not even a four-star establishment. Management could careless about the guests and their experience here. Once you have paid, that is all they care about. I loved Sint Maarten, but I will NEVER stay here again. Recycled food, rude staff and hard beds is what I will remember from here. This is the oldest looking building built in the last 8 years. There is mold on the ceilings in the hallway. There is just so much I could say but I'm going to say less. Do not book here.

    Amazing experience

    Everything perfect, clean, amazing staff, delicious food. Watching planes loved it I will go back for sure . We were a group of 12, friends and family everybody enjoyed. We tried all the restaurants on the resort nothing to complaint Location great. Love Sint Marteen

    Great birthday experience at Ocean Point Resort -, St Maarten

    We stayed at Sonesta Ocean Point resort all inclusive . The suite was lovely , and all the staff were really helpful and nice, One staff was so sweet and good to me,It was my 75th birthday and Ryshendi Charles ( concierge ) went out of her way to decorate my suite full of balloons , roses , and roses petals on the floor, cakes and champayne. she went out of her way to make our stay an excellent experience. I highly recommend this resort for spending any special event .

    not a five star

    Hotel was very nice and the pools and amentities were in great shape. Cleaning staff were great with our rooms however staff at the pools and the main restaurant were not I was told fourtteen times not to take my glass cup out of the pool area and the main restaurnt serving staff were imature and joked with me to the point i wouldn,t go there anymore. The Italian restaurant was excellent both inservice and food.
