Good value
Rooms were spacious and pool chairs were ample. Food was average to above average. However staffing levels seemed to be lower than necessary. Food and drinks took too long in many of the a la carte restaurants. Lack of evening activities was disappointing resulting in early nights to bed. Yoga with Tracy was the highlight of my trip.

Beautiful property in the perfect location!
The Sonesta Maho Beach Resort is just a few short minutes from the airport and the famous beach at the end of the runway! An excellent location in Maho, it boasts several restaurants, a huge pool (with a swim up bar for adults), plenty of lounge chairs, and an elevated “beach” with chairs and a rockstar view of incoming planes. Steps down to Maho beach give access to the gorgeous, warm Caribbean water and walking access to the beach beneath the flight path of Princess Juliana Airport. Amenities and staff were top notch and included a fabulous spa and two gyms. Four of the restaurants had outdoor seating with views of the water. Super friendly coffee bar in the lobby—and they remembered my order! We found the rooms spacious and well-appointed with plenty of clothing storage and outlets for charging our many electronic devices. Complimentary water, sodas, and beer were restocked daily in the room’s mini fridge. We booked a rental car from Steve in the lobby and explored the island. Highly recommend. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to return!

Wouldn’t recommend
Most of the hotel staff is horrible. They all act as if you are inconveniencing them. Restaurant food is mediocre at best. After 2 days seeing the same menu gets very old. All the alcohol at the bars is low end brands. Limited bartenders so expect to wait to get a drink. Rooms are just ok. I would look elsewhere on the island to stay.

Decent hotel, poor staff
Hotel staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. Resort is decent for the area in Maho Beach, but would stay elsewhere on the island. Rooms are decent and resort grounds are fine. Bathroom has no privacy between shower and room which was a huge problem.

Fun time
DJ Shevonni was amazing! Played all the jams and took request with no problem. She kept the party going. Wish she was playing every night during our stay. Bartender Tasha drinks were drinking. Her drinks are amazing! She makes the best Long Islands. They deserve raises.
