    BEWARE OF THE FOOD came back home with E.coli AND Vibrio

    grounds and rooms are beautiful (could use more outlets and better lighting) but beware of the FOOD my friend and I went for 3 nights and got severely ill with e.coli and vibrio. A week and a half later, multiple visits to Urgent Care, ER and our PCP and we are still not back to normal. I contacted the resort and received a very generic apology. For a 5 star, diamond, Hyatt resort I expected a higher level of quality control within their restaurants, especially since they do host a lot of weddings on premises. The resort needs to do better, and have a little more empathy for people who get sick at the resort. E.coli is especially GROSS and that AND Vibrio (shellfish contamination, look this up before you book) can be life threatening.

    Beautiful Resort

    Beautiful resort but there needs to be way more lounge chairs. This resort I think appeals to younger people because of the aesthetic for social media posting which is the last thing i want to do on vacation. Paths to pools seem dangerous as multiple people had twisted ankles from the stonework of the paths. Shout out to Carlos, Alfredo, Paulina for their excellent service around the activity pool. Jose, Sergio and Gonzalo on the activities team were awesome getting us up and out of our chairs 😊. I am a beach person so unsure if I would return. Maroma and Akumal have way better beaches.

    Unbelievable

    Hotel was amazing. Staff was excellent. shoutout to Julio, Jasmin, Jose, sergio and victor. Very welcoming and always keeping the guests happy with the range of activities that they offer. Would reccomend to anyone coming on a family holiday.

    I do not recommend if you are looking to have fun. If you just want to relax this may be the place for you.

    I have stayed at a Secrets in another country and this was less than my expectations. I was looking to have a great fun vacation. No fun shows or entertainment. Staff nor friendly across the resort. Danielle was absolutely amazing and I recommend he train others on how to treat resort guest.

    The Greatest Entertainment Team!

    Victor,Sergio,Jose,Miguel,Jazmin,Armanda,Felix. I know im unfortunately forgetting a few from the Entertainment team. They do an amazing job keeping the crowd lively throughout the day without too much commotion for the quite ones!
