The most beautiful resort we've visited in Cancun
Secrets Maroma Beach was the prettiest hotel we've stayed at in Cancun. This past trip marked my wife and I's 3rd time in Cancun and our 3rd different all inclusive that we've stayed at - and Secrets Maroma Beach didn't disappoint. We only stayed here for 2 full days, as we spent 1 whole day going to Chichen Itza, but it was enough for us to really appreciate it's beauty. The grounds themselves are really well kept, and the beach is really pretty. The waves were a bit rough when we visited though - this might differ based on time of year. The food was typical all inclusive fare - the food was good and the service was great. Of all the restaurants, we thought the French really stood out in terms of quality. I wish there was more local food on the menu - the buffets had some, and maybe we didn't take full advantage of that - but I felt like we could have had more, especially at the Mexican restaurant. I personally thought that the buffet food was sometimes hit or miss (overcooked fish, for example) but the sit down restaurants were always great. For highlights of service at some of the restaurants - Angel our waiter at the Italian restaurant was really attentive to our needs, and so was Ariel at Seaside Grill. For one of our days, we booked a poolside Balinese Bed. It was pricey and came with a bottle of Champagne or Tequila, but we felt like it was well worth it. The bed was right by the pool with a little private entrance into the pool. Heliodoro, our pool waiter, did an amazing job and would always come by before we finished our drinks to make sure we were always happy. Overall, despite the expense, if you are going to spend a whole day by the pool. I though the bed was worth it. We had a tropical view room with King Bed. The room was great, nothing was broken, and we had nothing to complain about. According to a little note in our room, Ana took care of cleaning our room, and it was pristinely cleaned daily. If we were out, the hotel also had turn down service which was a nice touch. Finally - the resort staff did a great job of facilitating activities. We didn't participate in all of the activities, but there was pool volleyball, a dance party, and some water aerobics that we saw. One of our highlights though was playing mini-golf with Abraham. The hotel has it's own little mini golf course which was really fun! We skipped the vacation club meeting - it doesn't really fit our needs and I'd suggest doing a little research ahead of time so you can also skip it if it doesn't work for you. Overall, I wish we had a little more time at Secrets Maroma Beach to take in the beauty. It's a great hotel and we'd definitely come back.

2nd visit and even better than the first
Just returned from our 2nd visit and just as good, if not better than the first time the prior year. Stayed in a Preferred Ocean view room on the 4th floor in building 16 which was perfect. Even had a great view of the Super Bowl party TV screen from the balcony. Check in and out went smooth. The grounds and beach are clean and always being maintained. Food and drinks were very good. Customizing drinks to our liking was never an issue. Went to a few shows which were good. Silent disco in lobby was great. The mentalist performer Armando making the rounds in the lobby was unbelievably good. Mini bar was re-stocked every day. Room was freshened up with new linens as needed. I cannot say enough how welcoming all the employees are. There are a few that stood out and went above an beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable. A few even remembered us from the prior year. Mateo - Preferred restaurant was phenomenal with his friendly service. So much so, we returned many time throughout our stay and specifically asked to be seated in his area. He is one of the best!! A few other names that also were awesome, Julio - Preferred lounge, Dario - Main pool, Francisco - Oceana , Hugo - Main pool , Richaro - Preferred lounge and Rogelio - Preferred lounge. We have been visiting the Cancun / Riviera Maya cost for many years and have stayed at many different resorts but Secrets Moroma has been the best so far.

You get what you pay for
The best AI of a dozen visited in the Carribean. Roberto our concierge treated us like his only clients. All resturants top notch! The beach was sunny & always windy. The grounds were immaculate. This place will spoil you! Plenty of variety with exceptional food and service.

Best concierge ever!! Roberto!!
We loved the resort!! My husband‘s company takes us to a secrets resort every year …and this secrets was top notch. What also truly sent it over into amazing, was our concierge Roberto… Roberto was just absolutely amazing, his communication, his friendliness and his willingness to help us, and our friends was again nothing short of amazing!!! One of our group developed the flu and Roberto went over and beyond to help, with getting her medication and even chicken noodle soup… we love secrets, and we absolutely love concierge Roberto❤️

Restorative trip in Cancun
We had a rough start to our short vacation, but honestly, that was not due to Secrets Maroma in any capacity. It did set the tone for our experience as our transportation service (3rd party) kept us waiting at the airport for 2 hours before taking us to the hotel. The hotel is only 29 minutes from the cancun airport. Upon arriving, the agent (3rd party) who booked our reservations and we paid for an ocean front, gave us a partial ocean view room. One of the reasons I took off one star was because, although it is not the hotel's fault, I feel like they should have honored the room I reserved and it was clear on the confirmation I had. We were celebrating 2 occasions, our 23rd anniversary, as well as my husband's birthday. I relayed this message to the hotel before our arrival, to the concierge upon our arrival, to the front desk. It was noted multiple times. We did not receive any type of recognition until the night before we left and that is only because I told the concierge that I was disappointed and was venting with the International World Buffet Lead, Gabriella. She, alone, really mended all our disappointment. Within hours, she coordinated with the supervisor/manager, Rodriguez, and the head chef, Manuel. These 3 people were the power team that made us feel super special. Apart from that, we really enjoyed the spa treatments and hydrotherapy session. As an owner of a spa, I can say this spa really impressed me. The amount of wo/man power needed to run this spa at the pace it is run, while making each client feel special and pampered is a feat. Not to mention the setting, atmosphere, well trained staff, and aesthetics. It was truly a restorative experience. Activities included on the resort were enjoyable. I participated in the art activity, took a catamaran into the ocean with Johnathan, and spent a couple nights singing tunes along with various shows and productions. All very well orchestrated. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed the Secrets experience, with only some minor set backs. Staff are all very excellent. Special thanks to Gabriella, Rodriguez, and Manuel who made me a special dish the morning I left.
