A hidden gem!
We recently were at this resort February 11-19. Our wedding anniversary was Valentines Day and my birthday was also during this trip. It is a hidden gem in Southern Mexico- already have next February booked! We enjoy the delicious dining that we have experienced at many of the UVC resorts. Our favorite at this resort was Bordeaux- we dined there 5 nights out of 8! The service was impeccable and the food was so wonderful! We had Amayvani (May) as our server the 1st evening that we visited Bordeaux. She was excellent! She remembered us every time that we came that week and the hostess even remembered our names! The hostess was Mariana. My review would not be complete without recognizing the chef and kitchen staff: Betzaida, Hector, and Emannuel. We cannot wait until we return to our "home away from home" in February 2026!

upsetting experience.
The preferred club concierge was not helpful finding us a room in the buildings we had requested prior to our arrival. He did manage to move us the following day, but to a defective room next to the mechanicals for the building that hummed and vibrated throughout the room. Yes they were aware of the noise problem with this room, but the preferred club concierge said 'not all guests complain about it'. Really! We were finally accorded a 3rd. move the following day, but our one week holiday was almost half gone with all this frustration. Even though the final room was very good, the whole experience left a bad feeling that stayed with us our whole stay. Don't go there. Not worth the hassle and upset.

Not A Great Stay
The resort needs major update. Restaurants need more decor to reflect its theme. There is no consistency in every room. One room has an alarm clock and the coffee station and the next room did not have an alarm clock and coffee station. The pool drinks are of poor quality. Food is ok not the best

Excellent medical care at Secrets, Huatulco
We stayed at Secrets Huatulco for 10 days in February. Unfortunately, I became ill after a few days, to the point where my husband said I needed to see the doctor. We called and were told to come to the doctor's office within minutes. From the moment we met Dr. Andre Gonzalez Ayvar we both knew I was in good hands. He was very thorough in examining me and listening to my symptoms. He gave me medication and asked me to return to the office twice more to check on my symptoms. I was feeling very sick, so was relieved to be able to see him again. I was given pain medication and antibiotics, and felt much better. He mentioned that if I had to go to the hospital that was no problem, the nearby hospital was a private facility that offered excellent care. Getting sick on vacation is not fun, but certainly don't worry, especially if you are at a resort where Dr. Gonzalez Ayvar is the on-site physician. He is an excellent doctor with 40 years experience, and a most kind and caring manner. Thanks again, Dr. Gonzalez Ayvar. We won't forget your special care.

Excellent couples getaway
Excellent views at this resort with every room an ocean view. The upper swim out room are quiet, relaxing and only steps away from the lobby and sky bat. Coffee shop is excellent, French restaurant food is exceptional, and the spa should not be missed. Seek out Abraham Cota for excellent service at the VIP stand. Seeking music, games, action? Rooms at the lower levels and near the beach will meet your needs.
