Our honeymoon at Secrets Huatulco was absolutely perfect, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible entertainment team and staff who made every moment special. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth, enthusiasm, and an energy that made us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Ximena, Alejandra, and Oscar at the beach volleyball court—they were not only fantastic players but also amazing at motivating everyone to join in and have fun. Their energy and friendliness made every match an unforgettable experience! We also have to highlight Alejandro, the heart of the entertainment team. His enthusiasm, positivity, and ability to get everyone engaged in activities and special events made our stay even more enjoyable. He truly knows how to create an amazing atmosphere! Another standout was Amir, who was our captain during a sailing experience. Beyond his contagious positive attitude, he ensured our safety, shared his knowledge of the local flora and fauna, and even led us to an incredible dolphin sighting, making for an unforgettable adventure. Of course, we can’t forget the bartenders and waiter staff, who worked tirelessly to ensure that every meal and drink was perfect. Their kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for their exceptional service. The hotel also went above and beyond in making our honeymoon extra special with thoughtful details that made us feel celebrated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Secrets Huatulco, for an unforgettable trip!

The setting is fantastic - snorkeling was amazing. The food is better than most resorts we've visited. Staff - great! The only downside was the spa. It was not included. The price list was unreasonably high - even with the "coupons" that was given at check-in. When I visited the spa area, it was almost empty; it would have been nice to use the pool and the hydrotherapy area.

Excellent Seafood Restaurant with a view!
Oceana is a wonderful, spacious and comforting haven after a day at the beach where you can enjoy a variety of seafood appetisers, seafood soup, wonderful main choices and delectable desserts! We highly recommend Luis Angel Avila, Waiter & Gloria, Manager for their suggestions and special personalised attention!

I had high expectations of this resort because of the chain but the pool area and rooms are dated and need some maintenance/updating. The staff at this resort are great and go out of there way to help but this resort needs to try and offer more entertainment in the evenings and the vibe around the pool in the afternoon needs to be improved as it is very quiet. Half the speakers don’t even work. The other thing that was really bad was you never knew what was going on around the resort or what special meals were being served at lunch. Pizza oven at the barefoot restaurant was pretty good when it was open and then special meals later in the afternoon should have be advertised. I wouldn’t recommend this resort for the price point.

Third Visit to Secrets Huatulco
We recently returned from our third visit to Secrets Huatulco. We enjoy going there because of the consistently good weather and the excellent staff, they are always attentive to the needs of the guests. Cleanliness is excellent but the resort is showing its' age and needs a face lift. There is a shortage of chairs and umbrellas around the pools. You have to be there by 6:30 to get a chair. Many guests are reserving chairs early in the morning and then are disappearing for hours. They are trying to control this but so far it doesn't seem to be working. Menu options have changed since our last visit the and the selection was not as good in our opinion. Mexico night was great with a terrific show and tasty food options. We preferred to have breakfast in the Tamarindo restaurant as it was quieter and faster to eat there. We had a late dinner in the Teppanyaki Grill one night and some of the food was over cooked or burnt. The resort needs to replenish their assortment of barware. While we understand the need to use plastic barware around the pool, wine shouldn't be served in a champagne flute or in a on-the-rocks tumbler. Top shelf liquor was not available unless you were a preferred guest which was not the case in 2019. We enjoyed the entertainment at the Sky Bar every evening. Wi-fi was excellent throughout the resort. We're planning to explore other Secrets resorts in the future.
