Overall, I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to my friends and family.
The room could use some updating but really you’re not in your room much because the pools and the beach are awesome. The restaurants have very good food and the entertainment at night is great. Thank you to Arbey for doing an awesome job with the daily activities and entertainment.

Great vibe, staff attentive to your needs, perfect place to relax.
Great resort, not overly big or crowded. Lots of amenities and space to find the vibe you are looking for. Service was excellent, and staff readily available and able to meet your needs. It is a beautiful location, with a wide selection of pools, bars, and unique beach atmosphere.

Enjoyed our stay
Overall we had an awesome experience. We loved our room so much!!! The staff was friendly and respectful. The food was mostly really good, but we wouldn't recommend the beef filet at the Oceana restaurant. We're not sure what kind of nightly entertainment they had, other than the Mayan night, which is too bad since we would've liked to see more. The activity board only listed events until 4 pm. We still had an amazing time.

Old building needing infrastructure improvements
There was no cold water during the night. Without cold water, the toilet would not flush every single night Taking a shower was a challenge as the water would either be too cold or so scalding hot it would burn your skin. Management of the building told us the water was operated by a generator that would stop working. When he went to room during day the water and toilet were working so he didn't see a problem.

Can’t stand a thief
My husband and I have stayed at Secrets 15-20 times. We have always been treated well. Until this trip. We were there for our 25th wedding anniversary. On the evening of our arrival, 10/30/24, my husband bought me a tourmaline and white man-made diamond in sterling silver for our anniversary from one of the vendors. I put it and another ring inside the bag they gave me with it. I left it on the coffee table in our room. I was saving it to wear for our actual anniversary on 11/6. We got ready to go down to the beach to have pictures made, we couldn’t find the little bag anywhere. We took all the cushions off the sofa, looked behind and under everything. I was sick about it. After pictures and dinner we went through everything in the room. Luggage and all. While searching, I discovered another ring was missing. I had take a sleep study ring with me to do a sleep study while we were there. I placed it in the nite stand. It was also gone. We called security the next morning. They came to the room and searched as well but to no avail. They had me to fill out some paperwork and draw pictures of the missing items. They told we would hear from them in 4-5 days. It has been 18 days and we have heard nothing. We have never had a problem at Secret’s. They were like family to us. But, very few of the employees are there anymore since the new company took over. I tried calling about 10 times today but they keep hanging up on me. Needless to say, we will not be staying at Secrets again.
