Great Resort!
Best service we have ever received on a vacation. Beautiful resort and beach area. Felt like the staff anticipated our every need. Had a swim out room and would highly recommend with the preferred package. Over all great trip and can't wait to return.

Absolutely seamless vacation experience
The staff were all amazing. Max and Isabelle who run the beach volleyball were fantastic. The beach and pool areas are great. The massage at the spa was one of the best I've ever had. Would recommend bringing a snorkel mask so that you can snorkel right off of the beach in front of the hotel -- saw two turtles, lots of fish, and coral without having to swim out far. 10/10 recommending and would go again.

Amazing work
Even though the food was amazing and bedspread was clean in the room the overall standard was exceptional. I believe each other should be treated as one person the people who I had contact with were pleasant people I felt comfortable with them

Wonderful resort hotel
What a lovely resort! Let's start with the downsides. Hmm - quite hard. The only thing that irritated me slightly was the "digital room key" which came as part of the hotel app. It hung several times and once completely kicked my wife out, forgetting all her data. However physical room keys were on offer if you asked (which I did). The app itself had useful information about when the restaurants were open. The hotel map was quite hard to use and unclear. OK - now everything else. First of all, the staff are superb. It seems unfair to single anyone out but I will mention Balthazar at the Seaside Grill who greeted us every morning (whether or not he was our waiter) with such happy enthusiasm. Giving a few tips seems to be in order (although not at all expected) so take some pesos (or dollars): the hotel is very happy to exchange larger denominations for smaller ones suitable for tipping. There is an ATM on site if you need cash, although it only gives out dollars and charges a hefty $6 for the privilege. We splashed out on the "Privileged Club". This gets you a separate part of the beach (pretty unnecessary really as there were lots of sun beds and in fact the reserved part of the beach filled up before the main bit did) and breakfast at the Seaside Grill rather than the Market Cafe buffet (which was in fact a very nice way to start the day). I presume that it also gets you a better room - you would have to check as I am not sure. The Privileged Club blocks have access to a concierge (separate from the hotel concierges): lots of people like this idea but while our concierge was always very friendly we didn't have any cause to use her very much (she was very efficient when room lock malfunctioned for some reason and got someone to sort it out very quickly). There is also a Privileged Club lounge/bar - pretty soulless really but they are very helpful there and it would be a nice quiet and cool place to work if you had to. The beach is lovely fine golden sand. No rubbish and the small amount of seaweed is regularly cleared. You just pick up towels from big racks on your way to the beach and dump them back in the bins when you have finished: no messing around with towel cards or queuing to get clean towels. There are some vendors but they are not at all intrusive. Various activities on the beach such as stretching classes, beach volleyball and boules. There are a few rocks as you get into the sea (reef shoes advised), it is gently shelving as you go out, a fair few interesting fish (not as much as the Red Sea though) and the occasional turtle (my wife generally managed to swim with a turtle when she had a swim, although I never saw one. No jet skis so very safe. 100 metres along the beach you can get a guided tour out to where there are more turtles or better coral - no idea how much that costs - I didn't feel the need to find out. They don't like you swimming out to join these groups unless you are part of a paid group: men in canoes will discourage you. There are a couple of pools which are very popular: warm water in February (about the same temp as the sea). Waiter service at the beach or pools for drinks and lunch (or you can go to the Market cafe - huge buffet, the Seaside Grill, the pizza oven by the main pool, the snack bar by the main pool or there was generally a BBQ of some sort). Quite a few restaurants in the evening serving food that is always beautifully prepared (although a couple of times food was a bit cold): French, Italian, Mexican, Pan-Asian, Greek, Seafood, Grills. You can't book and at 7.30 we generally had a wait of 30 minutes or so (time for a cheeky second cocktail). Or there is generally a buffet set up near the evening's entertainment (we didn't try this though). Service is very friendly. Quality and cleanliness is very high on the list. You should have no trouble finding things to enjoy. Decent cocktails (I am pretty sure they water down the cocktails you get in the day, which is probably very sensible), house wine, spirits and a range of (canned) beers. Bars open till about 11, with a nightclub open till 1.30 and a cafe open all night (as is room service). Good wifi throughout the resort including on the beach. Didn't try streaming anything but it was fine for emails and web browsing. Hotel is set in very lush gardens with dense foliage (and some "secret paths leading to seating areas or hammocks), a variety of wildlife including racoons, agouti, and large lizards. Frigatebirds soar overhead, pelicans fish in the sea, collared doves coo, and grackles make a racket (a lovely racket - very tropical) all day long. Very few mozzies that I noticed (didn't get bitten once). There are no straight paths and it is quite easy to get lost at first. There are signs but perhaps could be more (especially at junctions). The gardens are one of the things that make this hotel stand out. We had an Ocean view room in building three. Big room with a large double bed, sofa and desk; balcony with a sort of bath (?!) looking out over the sea; bathroom with walk in shower (weird tap which you had to turn round further to get hot water - no separate hot and cold control) and huge jacuzzi; good sized towels. All kept very clean. Minibar wasn't extensive - but you don't really need it as you can always get something from room service or one of the bars. All in all, we felt this was a really well-run hotel with happy staff and even happier guests. I'd come again in a shot if I could afford it!

It was wonderful, everyday was filled with new experiences and activities to enjoy.
Funnest entertainment team ever. These guys were friendly, funny and genuine friends. They went the extra mile to remember our names and where we are from. They felt like personal frie.ds and we were sad to leave them, not knowing if we'd see them again. And not just the entertainment team. The bartenders, cooks, chefs and performers were all amazing. Santiago, Fernando, Maximiliano, Carlos, Octavio, Elizabeth, Carla, Lizzie, Jose, Jonas, Ismael. All of these people were very memorable. I hope to see them again one day.
