  Loved it ❤️

  Coming to the end of our stay here and we have loved it. We did DC for the first time and think it was worth every penny. Yes the rooms are a little dated and a few tiles missing from the swim up room but overall we have had a fantastic time. Our butler Angelo has been amazing, I picked up the wrong plug adaptor whilst packing and Angelo sorted it. Pedro in the DC buffet has been lovley as well as Stephanie who greets you every morning with a smile and hug. All the restaurants have been lovley, good service and good food. I did find that at the DC buffet at lunchtime was busy and took a while for the staff to get us drinks. That's down to the volume of people all showing up at the same time though. Maybe they could have more staff at lunchtime just there getting drinks. We only went the main buffet twice, it was absoutley madness and I found the staff in there to be so run off their feet they just didn't have time to offer the service. Overall we have had a brilliant time and would come back. When reading some of these comments, I wonder if we have stayed at a different hotel ha ha! Enjoy if you go, make your own opinion about it. Remember the staff are doing their best and hospitality is a hard gig 👌👌

  Five star group get away!!

  We travelled with a group of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids. From the beginning to the end the Royalton staff blew us away! We were lucky enough to have Manuel as our Butler who helped us with every aspect of making this a very special vacation. He was thoughtful with our children, attentive to our requests and made all of our reservations ahead of us even asking! Difficult to make arrangements for a group of 16, but he didn’t hesitate! Our days were spent mostly at the diamond club pool/beach. Starlin aka superstar/5 five start, the pool conceierge quickly made us feel at home. The service was outstanding. But more that that his attention to our kids kept everything easy! He was constantly checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. He truly made our daytime relaxing and fun! Lastly, Jaira in the Diamond Club lounge looked after us every day! She looked after our kids when they were having tough mornings and checked in to make sure they were feeling better the next days! I am truly overwhelmed by her thoughtfulness! This was our second time at the Royalton in DR and I would recommend the Royalton for a family get away or group vacation to anyone!

  Bunch of clowns running this place

  This hotel is a dump. They can't handle the crowds that come in and there aren't enough restaurants for the amount of people. I showed up and had no beer in my room and when I asked for them, they brought me two (at an all inclusive resorts - are you kidding). Food was not good. Management and staff have no idea how to run the place and are clueless on how to help guests. It took an hour just to check in. Gilberto might be the worst manager in all of the Carribean.

  Beautiful resort for families

  Beautiful resort! This is a beautiful resort with gorgeous grounds, amazing beach and lots to do — Lazy River is a huge bonus and so much fun! While the rooms are a little dated, they are very clean with comfortable beds and good amenities like a hair dryer, ample closet space and a soaker tub. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Room service was reliable and always arrived within 45-minutes. The a-la-carte restaurants are great with excellent service and good food. Our favourite was Grazie, the Italian restaurant. Getting reservations was easy for us as we would log on to the Royalton app after midnight to reserve. We were able to get reservations for each restaurant. The buffet has lots of choice. The dishes were sometimes cold and we avoided anything (like cold cuts) that looked like they might not be kept at the right temperature. The beach is absolutely beautiful with lots of loungers. The water is crystal clear and warm! The beach is well taken care of and is a reason all in itself to stay at this resort. The resort activities at the Infinity pool were so much fun! Highlight was the foam party! The White Party fire show was fantastic, as was the Lion King performance at Royalton Square. The early evening musical entertainment was beautiful and really helped to create an enjoyable atmosphere. The service was also excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the concierges are relentless in trying to sell you upgrades to Diamond Club (and maybe more — we never attended the pitch meeting) and we had to tell several of them “no” multiple times. It put a damper on the trip as we were worried about running into them throughout the day. Themed “days” like Tex-Mex by the Infinity Pool served some of the best resort food we have ever had. They also brought in outside bands on these days that you can listen and dance to from the pool (or on the deck). You can tell the Royalton Bavaro team puts a lot of thought into entertaining their guests. The excursion staff also give you a really hard sell and don’t often take your first “no” as an answer. This was just a mild annoyance as they were all very friendly. We would 100% recommend this resort to families with children from 1 to 17. We travelled with our 17-year old and she had a blast! ☀️ 🌴

  Incredible experience - The Chairman Suite

  Incredible experience for the whole family. The hotel offers a comfortable structure with several themed pools, restaurants and bars throughout. Among the highlights, plenty of space, privacy and sophisticated architecture. Interactive activities take place during the day and night, in addition to very professional service. Among the highlights, Adonis & Esterbin were butlers of our stay in the incredible Chairman suite with complete and real-time assistance to any family request. In addition to their professionalism, they are receptive and cheerful people who align with the high standard of the Hotel and at the same time with the family's vacation time. During the 8 days, Adonis & Esterbin made differentiated reservations in the restaurants, ensuring the best experience, in addition to monitoring and guiding guests. They certainly make all the difference.
