    Nice place for price point

    Our favorite bartender was Manuel (drink cart at pool) The beach was beautiful and and short walk brought us to a lagoon that was so calm our 6 yr old grand daughter loved it! A great place and great value for a family vacation. Our favorite restaurant was steakhouse and the buffet always had something to please everyone.

    Wonderful stay

    Beach was one of the most beautiful we've seen. Staff was lovely and friendly. They keep the place very clean. We loved the animals running around all over. The rooms were completely adequate and all had a balcony. The things we didn't like: the pools were kinda of cold, the music at the pool, which you hear all over the resort, was very loud and raucous. The one towel rule is hard and it is virtually impossible to reserve a chair for everyone in your family unless you wake up at 6 am- which I had to do every day to ensure that our family was together. The food was bland and tasteless mostly. But I sort of expected that at an all inclusive. Despite all these negatives, we had a. great time and would recommend to others.

    Good but with a suggestion to improve

    Overall we had a very good trip and liked the Riu Yucatan. The beach was fabulous which worked as the main pool was crowded and hard to get a chair. The Ibiza pool that was more quiet was nice to relax at. Food and entertainment were good and the room was fine, but we didn’t go to hang out in the room. The room was clean and most staff were good. The pool temp was a bit on the chilly side. However, my adult daughter entered the poolside restaurant in her one piece bathing suit (she was dry) and an employee rudely just told her to ‘get out’. She had forgot to put a cover up on. Throughout the week we noticed many people and kids in just swim trunks and string bikinis with no shirt or cover up in the restaurant. I would suggest that the clothing attire policy be applied evenly and to everyone or not at all. And when doing so, staff can kindly remind quests rather than be ignorant/rude.

    I do not have any comments

    What we liked most was the great variety of food and the punctuality of the restaurants as well as the excellent service. We had a small problem with the room because it was very noisy and they changed it promptly. On the other hand, the hotel facilities are very adequate. Our only suggestion is regarding the cleaning of the floor since in almost all the closed areas there is no grease. Perhaps the cleaning should be intensified or cleaning products should be changed.
