If this rating was purely on the staff then they would 100% have 5star as they are all amazing, the entertainment team make you feel welcome and always have time for every family. We have been a couple of times to this hotel and the team knew us straight away even after a year which I was pleasantly surprised with. Amazing staff in restaurants aswell The entertainment thought out the day and night is amazing for all so we didn’t really feel the need to leave the hotel, the kids loved it and so did we. We love coming here. Only bad point we say is the food, all breakfast is either undercooked or overcooked. I lived on omelettes with tomatoes for breakfast as this was the only edible food. Lunch and dinner is always generally ok but could offer more variety on the pool bar, only serve hot dogs/burgers/nuggets and chips every single day. Would be nice for something different. Main meals are great if you like fish foods as they serve prawns and fish but everything else is overcooked again Loved the Christmas break, thank you to all the staff for making it an amazing stay once again

Beautiful hotel and grounds with a team that just don’t stop working to maintain it. I have never seen a hotel put so much effort into everything they do. RIU party on Fridays are great and very well organised. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimmings pools and beach is easily accessible within 6-7 mins. Never any trouble getting sunbeds and waiter will bring drinks to your bed. Playa del Carmen just £6 in taxi and worth a few hours out to grab some food or souvenirs. I do agree like many posts that the doors banging are a pain but you end up getting used to them. My only suggestion to improve the holiday would be an ice cream shack outside near the pools and maybe pizza served at Pepe’s grill.

Excellent Resort
If you're hesitating because it's not by the beach, don't. it's a 10 min walk from the lobby, or maybe 15 min from your room, or you can take the shuttle that will get you there in 3 min. This is one of the best resort we've ever went. Food is FANTASTIC, we loved it.

Amazing hotel ( Make sure you stay within Playacar )
The property offered everything anyone could expect from a 5 star hotel. The only recommendations I would make are these: • More frequent shuttle to the beach between 8am-10am and 3pm-5pm. • Provide Beach Umbrellas on the beach. • Rooms need better noise isolation

Very good stay
Only problems concerned the balcony. Requested a sunny one, didn't get it, view from it ok but through the trees and bushes blocking the sun. Main problem for us was there were no lights on balconies so no opportunity to sit out on an evening with a book and a drink from the generous mini bar and in room optics. Or with a pot of tea. There was a coffee machine in the room but no kettle for tea drinkers. Everything else was fine.
