  The best week.

  We booked having never been to Mexico before and having no experience of any of the hotels or the area. It was my husbands 40th birthday whilst we were there and it was our first holiday without the children - 12 years! The hotel check in was simple and quick, we were in room 2016 which was a little bit of a walk but actually we came to enjoy the nice walk there and back over the week we were there. The room was great, spacious, plenty of storage for clothes, lots of drawers. The bathroom was really well stocked. The mini fridge was restocked every second day and there was plenty of choice. Our room was at the back of the hotel, facing the Greenland, which was great as we had the luxury of all of the animals throughout the day and evening - iguanas, raccoon looking furry animals and some other strange looking furry giant hamster looking animal 😂 we also saw some deer hanging around the back. The restaurants were the real selling point. The main restaurant was run flawlessly. No queuing like most hotels and self service for efficiency. The variety was perfect and the food itself was a great standard. We also used the steak and Asian restaurant, no need to book, just turn up and give your room number. The steak restaurant was really great, we had the mixed grill sharing platter. Again the service was just perfect. The entertainment was also very good. We had the white party when we were there which was a lot of fun. Drinks on tap all day long, and the drink quality was really good. The staff would come and bring you drinks or you could just walk to the pool bar and get drinks/food from there. Used the gym quite a few times which was also well furnished. Opens at 06:30 which was perfect. We took quite a few walks into the local town, around 1.5 miles each way. One of the days we took the ferry to Cozumel and did a days tour which I highly recommend. I can’t find anything bad to say about the experience we had, it was everything I hoped it would be. Onsite shop which had everything you could need, lots of restaurants, friendly helpful staff, pool games, gym, lots of sun loungers, towels for the poolside, great entertainment. I can’t wait to come back with the kids.

  Very good apart from service from TUI very disappointing

  Staff is very friendly .food was fantastic. The cleaner i would give him 10 out 10, nothing he would do for us. The only disappointment was the service from TUI very poor service flight more and lack of information and contact with contact app

  Great Early Spring Week Away

  Second time in Playacar and we rarely visit the same place twice, great hotel, staff and location, benefit of access to other two Riu Hotels, likely to return for a third time very soon

  RIU hotels top everywhere

  Couldn’t put into words how amazing all the RIU hotels are, best service, best workers, gorgeous accommodations, spotless clean, amazing food. Could ask for more

  Our wonderful stay in Mexico

  Just back from a fantastic holiday in Mexico. The weather was glorious. This was by far the best all inclusive hotel we have ever stayed at for Buffett restaurant food quality. Plenty of choice and the food was the temperature it was meant to be. Staff very friendly across the whole resort and they seemed happy in their work. The adult pool bar team were amazing. The entertainment team work so hard night and day and the shows they put on are wonderful. Friday nights neon party where 5 RUI hotels come together at the Tequilla was absolutely fantastic. The effort the staff go to for this is incredible. We are in our 50’s and felt like we were at a rave, amazing.
