NEVER AGAIN
I guess they didn't lik my first review. This hotel is horrible.. pools were dirty..workers do what they wnt.. I sat a the buffet 15 mins as I watched the waitress play around with my drink in her hand.. room was missing furniture NO DESK no wash rags . I asked only for them to tell me they dnt use wash bags there.. t.v kept goin out.. hand to change my room card everyday it jus stopped working..alot of soldiers were on the beach due to a person missing a few days before we got there.. food was HORRIBLE.. n always cold even if it just came frm the back.. Im so happy I was jus there for 3 days.. riu adult only in Jamaica is the best.. this resort needs to be closed down n renovated..

Very nice for the price, could have some improvements!
Great vacation for the price. The resort is massive with a lot of pools and restaurants to choose from. We were there for 4 days and ate somewhere different every night. There were also shows/events every night which were pretty fun. Rooms were nice, but I had to get a new room key everyday I was there. Not sure if there was a glitch in the system, but it was incredibly annoying having to get new keys every time I left the hotel room. But there were plenty of chairs at the beach and the pool, but they were always out of towels--so get those first thing in the morning! Spa was amazing, prices weren't too outrageous and it was lovely. In all, I had a great time, and felt incredibly safe as a single woman on vacation with friends (we stayed on the resort grounds all 4 days and mostly just lounged around at the beach/pool--didn't do any local exploring or fun excursions or anything like that. Maybe next time if we have a longer trip!).

Riu republica vacation
Very strong experience. The hotel never slept. Jork chicken is very spicy. Water was fantastic. Night discos in Pacha Was extremly freaky. Very good food - Everyone find something for himself. Go left on the beach there were deserted beaches. Watch out for homeless dogs

Not 5 star - can’t wait to go home
After a 9 hour flight, turns out we were catfished. Wanted a relaxing Caribbean break and got party central. Full of you’ve guessed it, unaware self important Americans looking for a great time. The food is alright. The room is in need of repair. Morning, noon and night there’s noise through the halls. We’d booked a twin room and got a standard double with no other rooms to switch to. Crap mattresses and pillows, feeling every single bit of partner movement. I am exhausted, it’s day 3 and I can’t wait to go home. I have an eye mask with speakers in it, even if I play thunderstorms on full blast I can still hear people in the corridor above it. There’s no peace. Thousands spent. So disappointed. At least the air con in our room worked unlike others in the other reviews I’ve seen. There’s broken glass all over the place on pathways. Staff only perk up when you tip them. Can’t wait to go home. This place is not a 5 star hotel by any means. Even a guy on our coach from the airport said he’d been here 4 times and everytime it’s been worse than the time before. Bodes well.
