  Nice property

  Really like the resort. Not much English was used so the music selection wasn’t entertaining. Food was decent. The RIU pink foam pool party was the best part of the trip!

  Disappointing Stay at Riu Palace Punta Cana

  Disappointing Stay at Riu Palace Punta Cana My mom and I stayed at Riu Palace Punta Cana for 9 days in November, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations. The hotel is quite old and in desperate need of renovations. Our room had significant issues: mold in several areas, furniture that was outdated and smelled musty, and only one electrical socket that actually worked. To make matters worse, the room phone didn’t work, and there were no convenient charging options anywhere in the hotel. If you’re planning to stay here, I’d recommend bringing an extension cord and hoping the single working socket in your room is enough for all your devices. The beach situation was also frustrating. There weren’t enough chairs for the guests, so you need to wake up early to reserve a spot, which is not ideal when you’re trying to relax on vacation. On top of that, beach vendors were constantly walking around bothering guests, even when they were trying to nap or enjoy some quiet time. The food was okay but mostly limited to the buffet, which offered decent options but nothing particularly memorable. One of the most disappointing aspects was the attitude of some employees. While a few were helpful, others seemed indifferent or unfriendly, which only added to the frustration of dealing with the hotel’s many shortcomings. Overall, the hotel’s condition, lack of basic amenities, constant interruptions at the beach, and inconsistent service made the stay disappointing. While the beach itself is beautiful, the management really needs to address these issues to justify the hotel’s reputation and price. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until they make some major updates.

  January 2025 Stay

  We stayed at this resort in January 2025. The food was lovely and the hotel/ room was very clean all the time. The beaches were absolutely beautiful and the bars were great. Our only improvement would be the evening entertainment there was no English speaking acts which made it hard to find things to do at night. Something universal would have been better such as dancers or musicians. Room service was amazing and the ladies who cleaned the rooms were also fabulous they even decorated my room for me for my birthday. I would give this hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Missing one star due to entertainment.

  Riu Palace-Excellent!!

  Great resort! Beaches are stellar. Food is amazing. Kabuki restaurant was my favorite, be ready for spicy on some foods. Krystal was ok, the smoked salmon appetizer was the best part, so good. The buffet is super good. Food was not always labeled correctly but eh.

  Brilliant

  Lovely hotel, rooms are comfortable and well equipped with everything needed, great pools, lots of sunbeds, staff friendly, food spot on. Entertainment every night, loads of seats and choices of alcoholic drinks... No complaints from us.
