Dec 19, 2024Exceptional, start to finish!
We so enjoyed our stay at Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucus. The resort was beautiful, the service was exceptional, the pool areas and flowers, palm trees amazing. Beach walkers will love the beach which you can walk north a mile to large rock formations great for pics, or south a mile to the Cabo San Lucas marina. Take a 10 minute taxi to "The Hike" (to breath taking views of the Lands End rock formations and bay on the North, and Pacific on the South, leaving resort at 7am and be back by 10:30am. We also enjoyed the Pickleball courts and ability to walk to 2 other Riu's which worked well when we wanted to watch NFL games at the Sports Bar at Riu Santa Fe next door. Enjoy!

The staff makes the resort! Aurelio, the manager of the Krystal which is my favorite restaurant, and all his staff including the sweet Blanca work to make your experience the best and the food is good. All the buffet staff especially Oscar in the mornings and Oscar who works evenings. The cleaning people and the gentleman who care for the pools keep the resort so clean. The pool servers work hard to accommodate everyone. The bellman are friendly and helpful. The rooms are outdated but the showers are nice and you have everything you need. Views from the ocean view rooms are wonderful. The only negative I encountered was a few of the front desk attendants aren’t friendly or helpful and upper management did not interact with us at all. At other resorts they mingled a lot. They definitely need a class on customer service. Great location and a short cab/uber ride from town or San Jose.

Room was ok, but dated. Sleep was a bit of an issue though. Very loud party a couple of doors down after quiet hours. 😠. Also. Carts for 24/7 room service were very loud rolling down ceramic tiled hallways. Could probably be remedied by replacing hard plastic wheels with rubber wheels. I would try RIU brand again, but chose an adult only complex next time.

Always a Great Stay
Always a fun vibe. Staff is super attentive. Grounds are remarkably clean. Food could be better but all in all another great stay.

Excellent place for an anniversary trip!
My husband and I stayed here for a week for our anniversary. The service was amazing, the hotel was SO clean, and the staff was wonderful. The view is amazing and A/C kept our room a perfect temp the whole week. The hallway got a little loud one night from a wedding going on, but it didn’t last long. We also booked an excursion from the resort and it was wonderful! We will definitely be coming back!
