This hotel was amazing from the check in to check out all the staff members was nice, friendly and professional. The room was nice and clean I loved the view of the ocean and pools from the balcony. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Dec 18, 2024Nice place but needs some improvement!
This is the 3rd Riu that we have stayed in. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary. I am not going to make this a long drawn out review. I feel that the place is beautiful and clean. The majority of the staff was great. The food was good but nothing to brag about. The steakhouse was great. THE NEGATIVES! Could never get waited on at pool side or the beach. Stayed at the Riu in Nigril the year before and NEVER had this issue! As I stated we were celebrating our 10th anniversary . What the hotel gave us was a joke! They sent up a plate with one orio cookie, one marshmallow, and a piece of browny! ALL OF THESE ITEMS CAN BE GOT AT THE BUFFET! This was very disappointing! A person spends a lot of money to stay at a nice place and they couldn't have gave us a bottle of wine or champagne! I truly believe when places get so big management becomes disconnected with the customer. Sincerely Ron.

Aesthetically Pleasing to the Eye
Very beautiful resort. Entertainment was great, room great, food hall.... small, need more food options but overall great. Will return. My only dislike is the food options and the fact that my son is 13 and pay same price as adults but don't drink alcohol and limited on activities.

Dec 17, 2024Prejudice at Front Desk
As an avid international traveler, I decided to celebrate at Aquarelle for My Son's 18th birthday. Our party of five was asked to provide our US passports which we did. The clerk swiped the credit card and as I am signing the receipt she told me "Make sure your signature matches what is in your passport" I was taken aback and continue to proceed I ended up signing multiple receipts again and again feeling like I was dealing with signature experts and not vacation oriented customer service friendly individuals. Needless to say My family and I felt embarrassed as the situation got worst and we were left stranded from the front desk experience and WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Love this resort
This resort is very beautiful. Food was amazing. The bartender Chavel at the marley pool bar was very attentive and entertaining and the drinks were amazing. I will definitely return to this resort.
