  Traveled solo to Mexico for the first time ever. I had a wonderful time. The food was really good for an all inclusive. I stayed 6 nights. Enough restaurants to only have to eat at the same place twice. First come first serve so that was nice for an all inclusive. Beach was a bit of a hike from the hotel but not as bad as Riviera Nata resorts. Staff was very friendly. Room was kept stocked and clean. Did need a change of sheets one night. A lot of college spring breakers for a place that said they weren’t allowed but no high schoolers. Drinks were good with mid shelf availability on request. Pools were excellent. Finding a seat wasn’t unreasonable. Plenty of sun options and plenty of shade options as well. The slides were fun. Not enough shaded seating at the beach in my opinion. Cleanest community bathrooms for a hotel in Mexico that I have ever been to. Ones by the entrance by pools and near the restaurants were all spotless. Gym could have been a little bigger more equipment, and got crowded at times but there was sufficient equipment. Amazing for the price.

  Review

  Overall the resort was great! Great food and very clean. The Disco Bar was loud till 12:30 every night and the beds are a bit hard, so sleeping was not good. But other than that, we had a great time!

  Amazing experience

  We stayed at the Rui Latino in March 2025 with two other couples all in our early 40s. We had an amazing time during our week long stay. There was a varied age group from young to old with no age group dominating others. Here is a summary of our experience. Rooms: all couples had an ocean view room with king size beds. The rooms were large with plenty of room for getting ready and even doing a quick workout. The toilet was separated from the main bathroom which was a nice feature. There was no ventilation in either bathroom area for steam or air circulation. The water is not potable so we used the bottled water provided to brush our teeth. The bathroom is spacious with double sinks and a large shower. They had bottled Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7up, water, and canned Dos Equis in the fridge. They provided liquor in the room but we never used it. Housekeeping comes daily if you put a door hanger on your door. They did an outstanding job. Amenities: the resort has 5 pools and two of those had swim up bars, one large party pool, 1 athletic pool for polo, volleyball, etc, and one silent pool. They also have water slides. These are fun! Most are dark tunnel slides and one is a traditional open slide. This one hurts your back. Chairs are taken quickly near the pools so get up by 9-10 to reserve some chairs. We never saw any attendants remove towels from reserved chairs. There are not enough bathrooms in the pool area but the cleaning staff works very hard on keeping everything cleaned and stocked. Beach: the beach was beautiful with white sand and pretty blue water. The guys said the water was a pleasant temperature. We walked each direction on different days. We felt very safe and it was nice to see the other resorts. We were only approached one time asking about massages on our beach walks. If you have mobility issues, the walk to the beach could be tricky. You have to walk through deeper sand before approaching the beach area. It is very doable for anyone in normal shape. It is a little bit of a walk though it is very pretty! Drinks: like any resort, the drinks are not strong unless you ask for top shelf. All of the bartenders worked hard and made great drinks. They have draft beer (Dos Equis) at the swim up bars and canned beer also Dos Equis in carts that circulate around the pool areas. The flavored tequila they had one night was outstanding! Their martinis were also pretty good. Food: there was a huge selection of food options. For anyone that says they starved they have way too high of expectations. The main buffet is open for each meal. They have different stations including: salad bar, fruit/dessert bar, Asian, Mexican, American, Italian, bread/soup bar. Every meal had manned stations making made to order food such as omelets, tacos, etc. At breakfast they also had a juice, yogurt, and cereal bar. The restaurants offered a variety of options. If you like sit down, served meals this may not be the resort for you. The steakhouse was the only restaurant we went to that was traditional sit down. All of our steaks were good but not great quality. The chefs did a nice job of cooking to our preference for the most part. The Italian restaurant has a buffet for appetizers, salads, and desserts but they do serve you the main meal. This restaurant was our favorite. The Asian is all buffet and had a good variety of foods. There were some in our group that had the sushi and said it was very good. Others had food that was not very warm so this restaurant had mixed reviews from the group. We did not make it to the final restaurant which seemed more vegetarian style. If you come down before 7 pm to eat, you should not have trouble waiting for long. The steakhouse is small and fills quickly so this is one you want to get in right at 6. Overall, the food was good, no one got sick, and there were plenty of options even for picky eaters. Bars: there are a variety of bars located throughout the resort. Most are outdoor so if you go in the hot months, It may not be the most comfortable setting. For fancy drinks you want the lobby or theater bar. For a quieter daytime bar try Tequila behind the pool bar. It’s completely shaded and quieter when an activity is not going on. We never went to the night club so I can’t give an opinion on it. It opens at 10 pm. You can also sign up for parties at the family resort. They will shuttle you for free. The younger crowd mostly did this and it made our resort quieter during these times. There are no bars on the beach but the hardworking staff takes trays of ready made drinks down to guests. Staff: the staff works very hard to keep everything maintained and clean. There is always someone cleaning. They are helpful and friendly and try their best to work around language barriers. Tips are not expected although appreciated. You do seem to get better service with tipping however, there are so many places to get food and drinks, you may not see that server again. We did not have an issues with the staff. Overall, we would definitely return to this resort. All the couples enjoyed their stay.

  Great Resort at a Reasonable Price

  Beautiful property, the staff is continuously cleaning, the pool area, restrooms, restaurants etc. The staff is always helpful and always have a smile. The beach is amazing in this area. There are four pools, all with their own vibe. The steakhouse and the Italian were our favorite restaurants. We would definitely recommend this resort.

  Amazing time!

  My boyfriend and I stayed for one week to celebrate my birthday. We had an amazing time! Great staff, wonderful resort, the food was delicious and the beach was beautiful! I would definitely recommend especially considering the affordable cost for a nice resort.
