  riu emerald bay....bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  the views from the tower are great....after that it goes downhill FAST....the food is simply atrocious, buffet for breakfast and dinner is just blah....first morning after I arrive...go down for breakfast at 8am.....half of the serving plates were empty...no eggs over easy ready...empty plates....omelets ....one on the tray.....no real breakfast meat options other than very dry and overcooked bacon....for lunch...las graviotas.....simply terrible.....all very bland offerings....this is Mexico...what happened to livening up the food with some spices etc...just dont go here for lunch The room amenities are very simple....which is fine....but when I have to call down to have bar restocked friday....because no one has stocked it since I arrived....on tuesday, and finallly the entertainment staff at the pools....zero energy....zero attempts to spark activities at the pool, but they had time to stand around and talk with each other.....their one job is to engage with and organize activities,,,,they failed every single day I was there.....8 days. I have stayed at multiple Riu properties......and will stay at some again in the future....but Riu Emerald Bay.....never going to return

  Family Trip 2025

  My wife and I travelled to Riu Emerald Bay in January 2025 with 3 small children and one senior. The resort provided excellent value to our family as it had lots of activities for children and adults, lots of food selection, several pools (adults only, family and kids only) and an amazing beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this resort for families and would be willing to come back. We stayed in a room on the main floor of a newer building on the resort, which made it very easy to access the room several times per day.

  Fantastic vacation

  This was my first time to an All Inclusive resort and it did not disappoint. The accommodation was great (a room with a view of the ocean), the food was amazing with such variety every single day. Our only problem was that we ate too much. The thing that impressed us the most was the staff. Everywhere we went from the restaurants to the bar to the outdoor bar service, right down to the cleaning staff and the reception desk.... the staff were extremely helpful, very friendly and did an outstanding job in making us feel welcome. We could not have asked for better service. Well done everyone, you are a huge asset to Riu Emerald Bay.

  very good four star resort

  good four star resort not up to par with other Riu resorts to large to many people ,buffet does not open in both sections of the resort and the first Riu resort we had to reserve the al cart dining, very good food in the Italian restaurant, Asian was okay but just another buffet. The main buffet was good a variety of foods but lacked on fresh berries. Pools are large but sometimes busy and noisey water was cool none are heated ,ocean was just as warm ,rooms are well kept clean and bright ,service was good overall for the whole resort
