It was an amazing stay. I loved the hospitality, the property, the private beach, the restaurants, the bars, and the Disco club. I also had fun at those Riu Caribe parties. It was amazing to have fun with lots of people and with all the young crowd. The rooms were good could be bit better as per 5 star rating. I had a bit of trouble with the return transfer back to airport and had to take a Taxi instead. But I would just oversee that as overall I loved the all inclusive stay with topmost service and very helpful staff. From now on RIU will be my go to place every time.

The staff is amazing
The beach is small, the personnal is very nice, the Room was perfect. 30 minutes from airport. Lots of animation for all.

Certainly not 5star
Well what can I begin to say about this hotel,a 5 star it certainly isn't we have stayed in lots of riu and I was Very disappointed in this one. Plus side - right on the beach although small was lovely,the staff were lovely too very friendly.. Down side- The room was not very good needs an update,lifts were shocking,food was ok never hot only Luke warm,the entertainment was really bad the only good one was what the animation team done it only seemed to cater for the Mexican visitors. The security there was rubbish, our safe kept locking us out and door keys never worked overall it was ok but will not return.

Holiday to riu cancun
Hotel. The room had all that was needed. We had safety deposit box, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and the mini bar was stocked every other day. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were ok. The maid service was good they kept the room clean for all our fortnight. We had a good view of the beach from our balcony. The lifts leave a little to be desired 4 x lifts for 16 floors of 38 rooms. They come and go as they please. The food is cooked well and there is a good choice. They over salt everything so check before you add salt to your food. The food is a little repetitive though. The pools/sunbeds are kept clean and tidy all day. You need to get a sunbed as close to the beach as you can. As you loose the sun from about 2-3 pm. Its then a dash down to the beach to get a sunbed as close to the sea as you can to maintain the sun to the end of the day. The music that's played all day can be loud if your trying to relax around the pool. The entertainment staff work tirelessly although the evening entertainment is a bit hit and miss. The staff all around the hotel work hard to serve you drinks and to keep the whole hotel clean and tidy. There was 3 x armed (machine guns) marines and a police officer with a hand gun that sit on the beach all day. They move through the hotel grounds with their weapons hanging across their chest. I found this a little un-nerving. I went to the hotel toilet and one of the marines was brushing his teeth with his gun swinging about. Not really what i wanted to see.
