  Some good and some bad

  Staff at the Hotel was hit or miss. First room they assigned us when we checked in was small in size on the 1st floor, thankfully we asked to change rooms, and we got a larger room on a higher floor but it was a hassle for sure. They moved our luggage up to the new room but left my jacket in the original room which was a hassle to get returned to me after I had returned. Most of the restaurants were decent food but make sure to make a reservation. The private island was awesome, but get there early for good chairs. Some of the times there was little to no staff for food and drinks. Also, if you book your room with a work group or with a 3rd party, don't expect to get any Marriott Bonvoy points. I tried to get points, finally found out since my hubby went with work and it was a group rate, you don't get any points, after opening 2 cases with Marriot Bonvoy Rewards for missing stays and 10 phone calls, they told me this, it took several months to resolve. I was very disappointed in how the cases were handled by Marriot Bonvoy and the Front Desk Supervisors at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort. Renaissance is supposed to be superior but I found it was average at best.

  Avoid!

  Avoid at all costs! They leaked our information right after we checked in. On the same night, someone charged drinks to our room and it happened more than once. We noticed this when we were checking out. We pointed it out and reviewed these receipts hotel staff were able to find. The signatures were obviously not ours and hotel staff were able to verify. However, they would investigate further and work with their accounting team. After more than a month, they are still investigating and still no response after we sent multiple inquiries. What a bunch of frauds!

  We can not wait to return to this paradise!!

  First time ever visiting Aruba. Definitely will not be the last! Rosalba, Lucy and Santusha in the Fresco were so very welcoming and we looked forward to seeing them all.. Claudette in the towel house had all of our towels at the poolside ready to go at a moments notice and with a huge smile to boot! Of course, the pool bar wouldn’t have been complete or as much fun without the antics and conversations with Ishra and William! We dined almost every night at the L & G Steakhouse where the food was 5 star plus! And the servers made the experience wanting more.. Many thanks to Joshwin, Boaz, Kenny and all the cooks and waitstaff. We chartered a boat, The Driftwood II with Capt. Dody and first mate Sherwin. Outstanding fishing and adventure! As avid fishermen we could not have been more pleased with the trip! Lastly, we took the ferry over to the private island where flamingos roamed freely and the iguanas were all over. Our server on the beach was named Sugar and we adored her! Cant wait to return in October 2025!

  “ivy” terrific Activities Leader at Renaissance

  . The personnel here have been excellent. We particularly enjoyed the improvements in the activities, especially with “ Ivy” who is in charge of water aerobics. She brings an enthusiasm, sense of fun and music that is extremely enjoyable. Sunday morning it started raining and rather than calling off the session halfway she encouraged us to continue and then actually got in the water with us, which made it even more fun and she took us through the different exercises and got us ready for the coming day. We would highly recommend this resort and her to everyone.

  Great Aqua Classes!

  In my third week here. Come annually. Have been attending the aqua classes at the Ocean Suites with Ivy. Great classes! They are very structured, you get very good workouts, Ivy has a wonderful personality and makes them fun. Try them. You won’t be sorry.
