  Family Review - Good but not Great

  Planet Hollywood Cancun offers fantastic amenities, including a fun-filled kids' pool with pirate ship slides, a well-equipped fitness center, a stunning beach, and a relaxing lazy river. However, be aware that many of the extra attractions—such as the Flowrider, air park, and arcade—come with steep additional charges, which isn’t clearly communicated upfront. The resort is well laid out, with a spacious family section and a separate adults-only area. However, the buffet restaurants struggle to accommodate the number of guests, leading to long wait times for breakfast and dinner. One of the highlights of our stay was the entertainment—both the schedule and the staff were outstanding. I can’t say enough good things about the team, and a special shout-out to my bartender, Diego, for his excellent service! The biggest letdown was the food quality at the specialty restaurants. For a resort costing nearly $10,000 for a family of four for a week, the dining experience should be exceptional, but instead, it was disappointingly mediocre. This alone would make me hesitant to strongly recommend the resort to friends and family.

  Great for kids

  My 5yr old loved the Kids Club. Cinthya, Rose, Alis, Wendy, Itzel, Bere and Marey were all great and the hard part was convincing him to leave! The food is actually good, with lots of options. We really liked the app, it made it easier to book activities and to know what was happening around the resort. Thanks a lot.

  Family vacation fun

  Iley at guest services was fantastic! He helped us make the most of our time here. The food was excellent, beach was beautiful, and the shows were a lot of fun. Small cinema was a nice touch when we were overheated. Resort amenities were great, mini golf was a big hit.

  Fantastic Holiday

  Absolutely loved our holiday here at PH. The hotel caters for all. There is so much to do, various restaurants and diners to choose from. The food was great. Our favourite was Gusto Italian, the buffet and guys burger joint. The staff are all incredible and helpful. In particular our butlers Victor and Roy. They made all our reservations at the restaurants and spa and even arranged a surprise birthday cake for my son. They went above and beyond. Other staff to mention were Judith and anna at the sports bar, Iirma at the spa, all the bar staff and cleaners work so hard. And isaac at reception. Thankyou all. The highlight for us was the beach which was STUNNING!

  Miserable experience

  Not worth the price We planned our family vacation and made reservations several months in advance upon arrival we were informed that due to capacity they could not provide us with the rooms that we requested, instead of 2 beds in our rooms they gave us 1 bed and 1 extremely uncomfortable pull-out couch. Hotel was full, I expected restaurants to be open, No, to save money only one option for family to eat breakfast which meant extremely long lines and extremely long wait time to get food. Same thing for dinner, during check-in, we were informed no need for reservations, but when we tried to go to Sunset Stripe or Gusto (Not many options for family) both were full and would not accept wait list. One of the waiters at Italian said if we paid him he can get us on the wait list... unacceptable. We had no choice but to eat at So-Cal Buffet and since there aren’t many open restaurants lines and wait times were extremely long. I don’t understand why PH charges so much and provides such poor service in an attempt to obviously try to save money. Our grandkids wanted to use the lazy river but after waiting many hours to find a tube they just gave up, the hotel fails to manage the tube location or having them available. The kids area had many adults smoking e-cigarettes, no towels available. We have stayed in other hotels like Iberostar and really had a wonderful time. We’re really disappointed at the poor service provided at Planet Hollywood , we will not be coming back they charge for 5 star prices and provide 1 star service.
