This was the best vacation ever. We spent our honeymoon at Palafitos Overwater Bungalows. The bungalows and beach were majestic. The food was exquisite and the service superb. Alberto was hospitable and made our stay feel as comfortable and personalizad as posible. Fernanda and Liz were incredible butlers. We highly recommend Palafitos!

A Dream Come True: Over-the-Water Bungalow Paradise
Words cannot describe how wonderful! From the moment we stepped onto the wooden boardwalk leading to our over-the-water bungalow, it felt like we had entered a dream. Surrounded by endless turquoise waters, gentle ocean breezes, and the soothing sound of waves beneath us, every moment was pure bliss. The bungalow itself was luxurious, yet perfectly in harmony with nature—floor-to-ceiling glass doors opened to a private deck with lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and direct access to the crystal-clear lagoon. We spent our mornings sipping coffee while watching stingrays glide beneath us, and our evenings soaking in the sunset, painting the sky in pinks and golds. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and always with a smile. From romantic dinners under the stars to floating breakfasts delivered straight to our plunge pool, every detail was thoughtfully curated to make the experience unforgettable. Alberto, Pilar, and Aimee made sure we had everything we needed at all times! Whether snorkeling right off our deck, enjoying a couples’ massage with the sound of the sea in the background, or simply basking in the serenity, this trip was the definition of paradise. It was equal parts adventure and relaxation—a perfect escape from the world. If you’re dreaming of a luxurious getaway that feels like a postcard brought to life, this is it. We left with hearts full and already planning our return. Absolute magic. We cannot wait to go back!

Dorado Maroma Palafitos
We were very pleased with the outstanding service we received. We had special treatment for our 40th anniversary, lots of extra goodies! Aimee and Pilar were our personal butlers who were in frequent communication with us about everything from comfort to activities, dinner reservations to transportation. Alberto was very attentive and insisted on taking care of driving us around the resort and handling our bags. Our private bungalo was beautiful and clean. The food: excellent! Compared to larger resorts which have "just ok" offerings, we were surprised and quite pleased with our dining options.

Spectacular Food and Service
Amazing experience from food, to service to immaculate grounds. Enrique and Fernando were amazing butlers. House keeping and turn down were awesome. We stayed in 1604 which was a great location for easy walks back and forth to the beac through the water. A++

Magic over-water bungalows
The overwater bungalows are amazing - they are beautifully decorated and well-designed. There are glass-covered windows looking down into the water - they create a magic experience. Palafitos restaurant is on par with Michelin-starred restaurants, and yet it’s all-inclusive for guests staying in the bungalows. The service provided by all staff was exceptionally attentive, courteous, and swift. Our butlers William and Daniel were always ready to address our requests. Cart driver Alberto was very helpful and always had something funny and uplifting to say. We’ll definitely come back here someday.
