The Best
I've been to many caribean resorts and this one was top notch. Just beautiful, food, people, beach, accommodations. Zero complaints. Love Gregory and Raffi the bartenders at the beach bar. Rooms were always clean. grounds were absolutely gorgeous. Food was fantastic Can't wait to go back!!

Pleasant
The resort sits between the ocean and Oyster Pond, so views are very nice. It is about half way between the 2 big towns on the island. They are a 20-30 min drive. However, there are several nice places to eat nearby. The office staff was very pushy about us attending their sales presentation, we did not. The Veranda Bistro staff, on the other hand, was friendly and the breakfasts good. The workout room was not well maintained and rather basic. We had a studio room, so not fancy, but it did have everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed.

St Martin trip
The pool, restaurant and bars were very nice. Hotel is located so far from main city of Philipsburg that it was difficult to go shopping or eat at other restaurants if u didn’t have a rental car or costly taxi ride. Would not return to resort . Staff was very friendly ..

Where Do I Begin?
I’m the type of traveler that obsessively searches for photos, reviews, YouTube videos etc, of the place I’m staying before a vacation. I’m not terribly high maintenance, although I won’t stay in some dirty dump. I enjoy luxury, I’m just not fussy about small issues. I was concerned about Oyster Bay because based on these reviews, I felt like it could go either way, even though they were overwhelmingly positive. Let’s just say the pictures don’t do this place true justice. It is beautiful and it is CLEAN. The staff really takes pride in this gem by the sea. The current on this side of the island is strong. There is a lot of seaweed that washes up on the tiny Dawn Beach next to the resort, but it’s nature. I honestly wasn’t bothered at all. They clean it daily but you can’t outdo mother nature and she wants seaweed on Dawn Beach so what are you going to do? Despite the seaweed and rough current the water is so mesmerizing you can stare at it for hours. Turquoise blue water thrashing about as the tide comes in is simply exquisite. To get to Dawn Beach you must pass through the entrance to The Veranda Bar/Restaurant. It sits right on the water. It also happens to be part of the small grocery store on the property. (This grocery store has everything you need, except coffee creamer) They serve the best Danish apple turnovers you’ll ever eat. I had one for breakfast everyday. If you just want to drink, eat good food, listen to good music and watch the water, Veranda is your spot. How I miss it. Our room was spacious and most importantly CLEAN. I mean, really clean. Our housekeeper Rose was so amazing. She tended to the room every day. Make sure to take care of your housekeeping attendants. Our view was unbelievable. I don’t think I’ve ever had a view that spectacular. The pool is fabulous too. Never crowded and a beautiful view of St Barths. Although you do have to go to the bar and get your own drinks. I didn’t see anyone come around. I will say the bartender lady could have been a bit nicer but that’s a small thing. The resort decor is a bit dated. As is obvious from the photos it’s stuck in Palm Beach 1998. lol. But it’s charming. There’s a lot of older folks here. 55 - 85. This isn’t a party resort at all. But they have fun activities and get togethers. And I love the lobby area. So adorable. The resort offers Island Tours and access to take boats over to St Barths and Antigua. Oyster Bay is close to the French side (best food is on the French side, imo) The resort is 15 minutes from the downtown area near the airport but I prefer that. I’d rather take a taxi easily arranged by the hotel ($30pp RT) and go to the beach for the day then come back to my fabulous, quiet, relaxing resort at Oyster Bay and drink by the Veranda watching those beautiful waves thrash onto the shores of Dawn Beach.
