    The pools were great, you could spread out easily and even play catch. The poolside activities were entertaining, and the drinks were plenty. Beds were super comfy and with the blackout curtains I slept like a rock. All of the special dining experiences were worth booking

    First and Last

    Ocean El Faro has a very bueatiful lobby. Great service at the beginning. Its about 5-6 years old and already falling apart. Pool/Lazy river are not maintained and lots of mould which can cause people to to slip and fall. I hope this incideny does not ruin the ary wotk of my kids, see below attachments. Also they do not have many tubes as your forced to purchase your own if you wish to use the river. A lot of water sitting and moulds are accumulated daily. An incident occurred and I slipped and have a big cut due to this tardiness, the clinic was only able to give me 3 bandages for the 1 day use. Also,not 1 person from management team to acknowledge my well being. The beach section of this hotel has a lot of sharp rocks and even the volleyball court is on top of a rock. Highly recommend to skip playing. There are 2 restaurants at the beach which can not be used for normal vacationers and access are only for privilege. Family can not also use the beach chairs on the lagoon side and we were told that we are not allowed to use them as we were not privilege. If you are at the beach your only option for meals are at the pool or the buffet which is a good 20 minutes walk 1 way. El Mercado buffet management with grey hair telling me the hotel policy on tank tops and was told that I needed to go get a sleeved shirt. That being said. On the same table with my son that was wearing a tank top also on the same night and others where also wearing tank tops. Which does not make sense, If this management team use hotel policy as an excuse they at least should enforce this to everyone. Shortly after walking out from this buffet 2 women wearing basicly almost nothing was OK to have meal and management was OK to let them stay. If hotel policy is mandatory they should enforce it to everyone. Becareful on this package as they use the beach bars and restaurants on false Information to getting you there only to try to sell you an upgrade. My first and very last coming to this hotel. Thank you for the terrible experience with my family.

    We’d love to come back!

    Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again. A couple of negative points during our visit: The service was superb, but for one waiter at the Italian restaurant. Awful. Rude, impatient, ignored anything we said. The “French” restaurant has a (pointless) dress code… I was wearing a long sleeved, linen shirt, smart chino shorts and suede loafers but was refused a table. Another guy was allowed in wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a football shirt and trainers. Huh? The positives: superb service! Really, very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, really clean and nicely appointed. The resort was very well maintained. The food was good, not amazing, but we enjoyed it. The beach area was nice, not much seaweed and very clean. The app worked really well and it was easy to book tables for dinner. The El Beso sections are great, but it’s nice to have full use of all the facilities. All in all, we’d highly recommend. Incredible value for money.

    Good Besides Customer Service

    Always something to do, comfy beds, lazy river is fun, Sakura restaurant is amazing, rest of the food is decent, lots of cats to pet lol, the grounds are pretty clean. Make sure you bring your own floaty for the lazy river. Never had an issue finding a lounge chair either. However, the majority of the staff are very rude and are in no hurry to serve you. It gets old after a couple days, feeling like you’re bothering them when you ask for something. Some of them were good and the entertainment staff was fun.

    Horrible 6 day 5 night experience!!!

    Review of Ocean El Beso Resort, Dominican Republic I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at Ocean El Beso Resort from December 6th to December 10th, 2024. Despite its reputation, our experience was riddled with issues that were poorly handled by staff, significantly impacting the quality of our vacation. Upon arrival on December 6th, the power in our room was out for three hours. This was only the beginning of a series of inconveniences. The mini fridge failed to stay cold and was not stocked properly, and the shower water never got hot. Despite multiple calls to guest services, no assistance was provided. The following morning, December 7th, we woke up to a ceiling leak that dripped onto the bedside table, soaking electronics plugged into the wall. This not only caused damage but posed a significant fire hazard. Despite the urgency of the situation, guest services once again failed to respond. We were repeatedly informed that no manager was available to address our concerns. Throughout our stay, the daily housekeeping was subpar—no clean towels were provided, the rooftop hot tub and jacuzzi bathtub were dirty, and used towels were left on the shower floor. Each day calls to guest services went unanswered, and a formal complaint was met with silence. December 8th, my fiancé's birthday, was particularly disheartening. We spent over five hours trying to address these ongoing issues with guest services instead of celebrating. Marielly Rodriguez, a guest service representative, informed us there was no manager available, only to later claim the manager was in a meeting. The "compensation" offered—a cheese platter and low-quality house wine—felt like an insult. The situation culminated in a promise that the general manager would contact us on December 9th at 9:30 AM, which never happened. Only on our last two nights were we offered an upgraded room and premium status—too little, too late. This experience was far below the standards expected of a resort of this caliber. The lack of responsiveness, cleanliness, and effective problem resolution was unacceptable. What should have been a joyful and relaxing vacation turned into a series of frustrations. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the management to improve their guest services and overall operations. Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend Ocean El Beso Resort to others.
