Highly recommend
It was my husband and my first time here. Maria is so special and makes sure everyone has a good time & feels included. Her warmth & energy is contagious. We didn't want to leave, and will be recommending this resort to everyone traveling to Punta Cana 🙏 The "David Especial" drink is also a must have. 11/10. We'll definitely return in the future 💗😙

Not bad, I expected a lot better
The good: Public spaces: although the building was dated it was nice. Very clean. Staff cleaning and repairing the public spaces all the time. They could benefit from a paint job (get rid of the yellows and beiges of the 1990s), and retile. Beach: amazing. could use more chairs but it was a clean and aesthetically pleasing beach. Gardens and grounds: really nicely maintained. Nice pools. Well laid out to keep you moving around the resort without needing to walk too far. Pools: clean and well maintained, lots of room to swim. Needs more chairs! not so good: rooms: toilet didn’t work. I’m handy so i could repair it myself and had to everyday. There is no bathroom fan! tiles are all cracked and moved under foot. The tv was falling off the wall and placed angled to the ceiling and had dead spots. the balcony: they pointed a security camera right at our balcony and back door so we had to leave the curtain closed every time. My teenage daughters couldn’t go sun tan out there for fear of creeps watching. food: spam-like mystery meat everywhere, sausages, “bacon,” “ham” all the same weird processed spam meat. Lots of filler food but nothing actually good. Anything good was gone and never returned, leaving us with options like bananas fried with onions and peppers. Mashed potato patties with spam. The chicken pieces looked like they were separated in a shredder so you had odd bone bits in your mouth the whole time. The lines at the service stations were 30-40 mins long for the same food you get at the stations (yum spam again) Entertainment staff: they spent most of their time hanging out with each other. Save for one super aggressive one that would take peoples phones and make them write her a review on google. Mama-something. She took down your name and room number as though she will check in on you if you didn’t. Very off putting. bars: they put extremely bad alcohol into better bottles. I had to ask them to crack open the display bottle for real rum. They were reluctant to about 80% of the time. The mojito is nasty comes from the drink machine! the pina coladas were 95% water. The staff at all bars except the orange building were really rude and unfriendly no matter how nice you were. They cannot make drinks. Every mixed drink we tried was terrible. line ups: the buffet always had a line up out the door. the bars always had line ups because staff was too busy talking and moving at the slowest speeds you’ve ever seen humans move.

Not fancy, but overall all a nice place. They definitely need to work on upgrading their bathroom. They look warned out, so it makes them look dirty.

The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized watersports may be banned
*Non-motorized water sports may be limited, or banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to nonnative persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silencedThese guidelines are currently vague because actual enforcement by the local government does vary greatly from one year to the next. Each year the actual policies are not published by the local authorities until just prior to Easter. These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.
