This was truly a terrible resort. It was dirty and run down, and some how misery personified. I don’t believe there was even one employee who liked their job. Even though this is an all inclusive, we tend to tip, it made no difference to the lack of service. Don’t be fooled by the preferred club, it’s their way of upcharging you before you get there, and makes NO difference to your room category. We were there for a wedding and friends that had not payed for preferred club had way nicer rooms! When we asked if we could move they said the charge for those rooms were an extra 150 per night. We had already paid way more than said friends. Also made a reservation for dinner one night for 8. When we arrived, Helen the hostess said we cancelled it, you are late. Then proceeded to tell us that we should have been 30 min earlier despite having confirmed our reservation time. She became very condescending and eventually we shared a table with others, despite their being empty booths for 8 to 10 people the rest of the night. 6:30 till 10:30. After joining the group together it was almost an hour before anyone took our order. We rented the cabanas on the beach for 150 per day, but the beach water was a weird brown color and it smelled like sewage. They said it was because of the mangroves. Sewage smells like sewage. We had good service on the beach from Nancy and Ana, however when we went to order food, they were out of chicken, pork and steak… every day! The rooms were also not clean, the tile floors were sticky, several of us had questionable clean sheets, and despite saying they have a “pillow bar” that request was also shot down with simply a “we will put you on a wait list. Finally don’t fall for the vouchers with your “preferred club”. They want you to buy a spa treatment or bottles of wine etc, but when you go to check out it’s a different story, they don’t honor them. My actual real final insult was that we decided we just wanted to leave early, so upon checking out, they told us that would result in an extra cost of 150 dollars!!! Usually when I write a review I want to share a measured review, the good with the bad, but this is a place you should run, not walk from!

Great time
The entertainment crew Alex, Samantha and Dede were the absolute best!! They went out of their way to make sure my kids had an amazing time!
