Good overall experience but absolutely FREEZING water in hotel room pool and swim up pools.
Very nice resort. Clean. Service was generally good. Water park is fantastic in every respect. HOWEVER, as nice as having a pool off of our balcony was, the water was freezing! It was like taking a cold plunge when we forced ourselves in there. The kids were too cold to go in. Similarly, the pool at the hotel itself was also like taking a cold plunge. Not being able to use the room pool or swim up bar pools was enough for us to never stay here again. Shocking that they dont heat the water given this is marketed as a "5 start hotel". The cost of simple souvenirs in the gift shops was also shocking. For example, a simple tshirt was close to $100 Canadian or more and a tiny stuffed animal the size of your hand was also $100 or more.

The best family (younger kids) spot in Mexico
The incredible facilities and staff made for such a memorable trip! Perfect for the little ones and sibling up to age 12. Our server offered food and drinks before we even sat down at the water park (which was exceptional). They were very attentive to safety and every single team member I interacted with was welcoming with a smile. If possible, the 1st (main) level rooms with access to the large pool until 10 PM was well worth the upgrade. The all inclusive food and drink is top notch.. huge selection and high quality! It was far beyond what I had expected. Definitely will be coming back.. wish we’d found this gem when my kids were a bit younger so we could come back more.

Family Vacation
The hotel is fantastic, everything is new ,staff is very friendly, the show that they have for kids are fantastic, but the food is not that good and the service for drinks at the park and restaurants it takes a while, I also ask for two life jackets for my kid so they can enjoy the pool in front of my room and they said I need 1 hour and a half, and they never call us back for the life jacket.

Juan from Tovolo was the best
Juan from Tovolo was the best waiter I’ve ever had. Had the upgraded porterhouse steak that was amazing. My kids were acting up a bit and he did such a great job keeping all of us interested. I give Juan a 10/10. He deserves a bonus for going above

Outstanding Resort!!!
This was our first trip to the Nickelodeon resort in Riviera Maya with our 11 year old daughter. She is still somewhat into Sponge Bob and we wanted to give it a try before she aged out. We figured it would be a one and done but after spending four days at the resort, we plan to go back. At first we thought the theming would be over the top and in your face, but it was anything but that. While there are hints of Nickelodeon characters scattered throughout the property, most of it was subdued and wasn't over done. I will break down our stay and compare it to other reviews that had negative comments related to the resort. First, I read a review where someone said they were hit with high pressure sales pitches upon check in. We did not experience any of that, we checked in with ease after our 14 hour trip to get to the resort. We didn't even see anyone giving a sales pitch. I also read a comment that the walls in the rooms were paper thin and you could hear the people next door, we had nothing but solitude in our room, never heard our neighbors on either side. Now on to the resort. I want to first thank the employees of Nickelodeon, they were all very friendly and attentive. Our room was always clean when we returned and our mini fridge restocked. The people who work at the resort take pride in ensuring the resort is top notch and you can see them working their tails off to make the resort visually stunning and clean. All rooms are ocean front and all have a swim out plunge pool, even on the sixth floor. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. They are all suites and have two bathrooms, which my daughter liked, she enjoyed having her own private bathroom during our stay. We opted for a two queen bed suite and we were not disappointed. Inside the hotel there are three restaurants. The Good Burger is what you would expect, it serves primarily burgers, which are quite good but they also serve ribs as well. Our first night there, we opted to eat at the Good Burger and we enjoyed our meal very much. There is also an ice cream truck inside the restaurant that serves ice cream and assorted toppings. The second restaurant, we didn't try and I can't remember the name. I do recall they had restricted hours. The third restaurant is the Yacht Club, a buffet dining spot. We at there on night two and enjoyed the selection of food items offered. I want to give a shout out to Orlando, our server. As we were finishing up our meal, Orlando came to our table with a whole sea bass that was lightly breaded and fried. We were already quite full and didn't expect to eat much of the fish but once we tried it, it was delicious and we nearly finished the entire fish. Orlando told us there were only six sea bass available that night, so we were grateful to him for giving us one to try. Orlando was great and we appreciated his attention and hard work. The only negative is there is no where to get coffee or breakfast inside the hotel building. It would be nice if they added a Starbucks with some pastries for those who want more of a continental breakfast. The hotel offers a shuttle service from the hotel to other parts of the resort, such as the main building and waterpark. We opted to walk from the hotel to the waterpark, it is a little over a mile, but we didn't mind walking and on one of our walks we encountered a family of spider monkeys swinging through the trees, which was cool to witness and would likely have been missed on the shuttle. Le Spatula is the other buffet style restaurant that serves breakfast and brunch, closing at noon each day. We went for breakfast and found the assortment of breakfast items to be plentiful and tasty. They have just about everything you can imagine. The waterpark was awesome with something for everyone. My wife really enjoyed the raft slides, while my daughter enjoyed the adventure pool and the more tame water slides. Both my wife and daughter enjoyed the two lazy rivers. My daughter also enjoyed Nickelodeon's version of a wave pool. There are four places to get refreshments and food. One is basically a burger/hotdog joint that serves a pretty good burger. The second, near the big slides had an eclectic menu servicing poke and other types of bowls (we didn't try that one), the next is one that serves only pizza and finally the one near the adventure pool offers only non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Despite rain on both full days we were there, we thoroughly enjoyed the waterpark. All in all this was a great resort and despite my daughter getting older (almost 12), she wants to return for another stay. We have already been looking at dates. I would suggest from a price standpoint to go in the off season. January was a great time to visit, the resort was not crowded at all and there were virtually no lines to wait in for any of the slides. Thank you Nickelodeon for a memorable trip and we hope to be able to enjoy your top notch resort again in the not too distant future.
