  Worst Resort Experience – DO NOT RECOMMEND!

  Worst Resort Experience – DO NOT RECOMMEND! I just returned from Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana, and I can confidently say that it was the worst resort experience I’ve ever had. Before going, I checked the reviews, and honestly, I have no idea how this place is considered a 5-star resort. Food – Absolutely Terrible! • The food in EVERY restaurant was awful. Poor quality, limited variety, and the desserts were some of the worst I’ve ever had. • The juices were the worst I’ve ever tasted—completely artificial and undrinkable. • Restaurant reservations were a nightmare, and in the end, all the restaurants served pretty much the same food. Hygiene – A Complete Disaster • The cleanliness in the bars was shocking! Glasses were “washed” in a dirty bucket of water that wasn’t changed regularly. This means that an alcoholic drink glass could be washed in the same water and then used to serve juice for kids. Unacceptable! Service – Absolutely Horrible • Communication with staff was terrible. If you don’t purchase extra packages, they simply stop helping you. • The concierge pretends to assist but is only interested in selling packages. • Most employees were extremely rude and uninterested. The only exception was a staff member named Henry, who worked at the Space restaurant (I don’t remember the exact name). Paid Experiences – A Complete Waste of Money! • The hotel uses the Nickelodeon brand, but you can only see the characters if you pay extra. I attended the character breakfast and paid nearly $600 for 8 people, and it was absolutely awful! The food was terrible, and the whole experience was disappointing. Zero Customer Care • My daughter lost a toy at the resort, and another child took it. When we tried to resolve it, the staff didn’t care at all. • They were painting the walls without any warning signs, and my daughter got her clothes completely stained. The staff told us to send the clothes to laundry service, but nobody ever came to pick them up. I had to take the dirty clothes back home myself. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana! The service is terrible, the food is disgusting, the staff is rude, and the hygiene is unacceptable. Anyone who asks me about this resort, I will tell them to avoid it at all costs. If you’re thinking of going, save your money and choose another place!

  Beautiful and clean, but food was terrible

  Have been deciding if I was going to write one of these but decided I needed to: Pros: The resort was beautiful, clean and everyone was very friendly! We loved all the bartenders and pool staff, they wrrr amazing! We had a wonderful time as a little family (my husband, myself, and our toddler), but due to the cons we would not go back. Cons: We hadn’t even gotten in our room and our concierges was asking for more money. We said no to one of these meetings and were not treated the same from that point on. Another staff member even came up to try to get us to help her out. Very distasteful. The main reason we will not be back is the food. We are not picky people but the majority of things were not edible. We had a good meal at space walker one night and a good steak at the Italian restaurant, otherwise we lived off the eggs and bread at breakfast. There were many things not available and the food was just not what was described on the menu. We were very disappointed at how such a beautiful, clean, otherwise wonderful resort could miss so much on the food.

  Beautiful memories

  As a Prestige member we get a butler. Dariel was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Kids loved Dariel and couldn’t get enough of him. My 3 years old daughter with hug him and play with him every time she would see him. Food was decent and the resort was good.

  Please, please believe the negative reviews!!

  I read many negative reviews before booking and really wish I had trusted my gut. If this had been a budget trip (<$2000 per person), we would have been fine with what we received. Food Quality & "Gourmet" Label I’m not a picky eater—I’ve eaten stewed goat in the Dominican Republic and enjoyed it. But the biggest issue with this hotel is the misleading “gourmet” label. The menu reads well, but many items aren’t available, including most of the sauces. Fresco Lunch Restaurant: Menu description: Ground Middle Eastern Spiced Chicken with Baba Ganoush & Herb Mayonnaise Reality: Sliced chicken breast on a bun—no sauce. When asked for a substitute, they offered ketchup. PHBurger (Chorizo Appetizer): Menu description: Chorizo Bites with Cabernet Paprika Sauce & Sourdough Garlic Bread Reality: Three small hot dogs in a ketchup-based sauce with a thin slice of white bread. PHBurger (Burgers): Burnt and inedible burgers. Space Walker (Supposedly the Best Restaurant Here): Steak was so overcooked it was impossible to cut. Buffet: Eggs at the egg station were always overcooked—brown, crispy, and dry. The Italian restaurant was the best meal we had all week. The menu there was actually accurate. Beds are so hard here my wife and I didn’t get a good nights sleep for the entire week. Service was good but it seems like management is really just trying to squeeze every ounce of profit out of this hotel at the expense of quality. We are so disappointed and feel we have been duped. We feel we should be compensated for this false advertising but really don’t have high hopes of that.

  Has changed from 2 years ago and not for the better

  We just arrived home from a 7 night stay at this resort and unfortunately underwhelmed by how things have changed since we were last there 2 years ago. We loved it so much last time we actually became Prestige members and if things were the way they were this time around there is no way we would’ve joined. The positive highlights: Our Butler Dariel was outstanding. He was always quick to respond and did a fantastic job of arranging all our dinner reservations and cabanas for the beach or Aqua Nick. He also would come pick us up if our 3 year old would fall asleep at the beach or water park so we didn’t have to hold him and walk all the way back. He also always had a positive attitude which was not the case for many other employees. Daniel and Juan from the beach bar were also outstanding. They were also always smiling and went above and beyond. We enjoyed the new snick lounge and sweetery as well as the new water park area. Wish the food truck had been open there. Negative highlights: The food was subpar for the most part. Wok wok was good as well as the Italian restaurant and the pasta station of the buffet. Spacewalker lost all of its ambiance. No smoke walking in, the virtual reality machine didn’t work and they didn’t have the famous sphere dessert. The burger restaurant completely changed the Buffalo chicken sliders that were a must have two years ago. It was shredded chicken with no taste and was not edible. Aqua bites was inconsistent and the men making the food were super rude and seemed so grumpy Pretty much everywhere we went they were out of something, champagne, tomato juice, mint, white wine, tequila (I could go on honestly) There were not many character opportunities like last time and just not as much engagement from the team Nick folks with activities for the kids until the day we were leaving on Saturday. Also in the evenings there was always popcorn and a bounce house for the kids, we only saw that one night. We also went to the member dinner and the salad was terrible, we didn’t get the appetizers, the boys food was cold, the lobster was overcooked and had limited drink options (no champagne). Also there was barely any entertainment and no characters. Just very disappointing that this was supposed to be a special members dinner and it didn’t feel special at all. Just overall not what we expected based on our last time there. Unless things greatly change we will not be back which breaks my heart to have to say that since we loved it so much two years ago.
