What We Love
- It's all-inclusive: the food, the drinks, the everything is sensational.
- Teeing off at the Marina Vallarta Golf Course that's a coconut's throw from the resort.
- Dropping the kids off at the kid's club then making a beeline for the swim-up bar.
- Melting into a massages in an open-air cabana.
- Swimming, floating and diving into the largest pool in Vallarta - zero-entry point for kids!
- The all-consuming kids' activities: arts & crafts, ping pong, foosball, arcade games and more.
- Visiting the landmark, the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe & zip lining in the nearby jungle.
- The nightly shows - the dancers cut a rug with everything from retro to traditional cultural dances.
- Hanging at the Marieta Islands and Los Arcos National Marine Park. Both are not far away.

Wonderful experience at Melia Puerto Vallarta
We stayed at Melia Puerto Vallarta for a week with our three children and had an amazing experience. Overall, we found the resort to be clean and well maintained, and we were surrounded by and friendly and professional staff. The pool was fantastic, and we were able to find shaded seating most days. There were always poolside activities going on and having pool toys available was a bonus. If you are there for more than a day, you may see a couple of iguanas poolside! The beach just off the resort was well maintained and allowed us to build sandcastles, boogieboard, kayak and ride the waves. The location was also great for shell hunting and even a bit of whale watching if you are lucky. Activities around the resort were also plentiful and included minigolf, a batting cage, dance lessons, a great kids club, billiards, ping pong, foosball, and archery (shoutout to Leo Leon for running this). The staff running these events were very friendly and kept it all running smoothly. There were also nightly shows with mariachis, magicians and pirates that kept us entertained. The main highlight of the resort was the food. The main buffet was on a rotating schedule that offered a variety of delicious meals to choose from, so we never got bored. We were able to go to both the al a carte restaurants and they were a nice change in menu and atmosphere. There was one small water issue within our room that led to us moving down the hall to another room, but the staff dealt with it quickly and professionally to keep our vacation going. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would happily visit again.

Good time
The service and workers are great and very friendly. The servers remember what you order and recognize you even after seeing hundreds of people each day. There were many activities to do whether they are set up by the resort or just available at any time.

Not worth it
I have used TripAdvisor for years, but never left a review. I felt compelled to do so this time. Not worth it. Facility is very outdated. Tiles crumbling. Pool not in great shape and very cold. We had three rooms and in none of them did the showers work well or drain properly. Very hard to get a reservation in the two restaurants. Fish House was not worth it. Mole y Tacos was better. Buffet was mixed. Sometimes good and other times meh. As others have noted, staff is generally very friendly and helpful. One glaring exception is the front desk staff. Manuel in particular was rude and condescending when we checked in. My parents checked in about an hour after us. They had a balance that they were not told about. The hotel called later, and when my parents went to resolve it, they were told that there was no balance. The next day, the hotel locked us out of all three rooms! When we went to resolve the issue, we again dealt with Manuel, who was unbelievably rude. We then spoke to the manager (Lupe), who was very nice, but it did not make up for how we were treated. The hotel did nothing to make amends. We would never stay at this resort again, nor would be recommended to anyone.

Family Vacation
This was a perfect place to go. The staff were amazing and the place is so clean. The bonus is you are 30 minutes from the Malecon and 30 minutes from Bucerías and walking distance to the marina

Great for familes
This was our first all inclusive experience and we're so glad we ended up here. It was hard to pick a resort that wouldn't break the bank, but still had lots to do and kids activities. This place was great for the price. The rooms are dated and vary a lot room to room as far as how nice it is. The buffet was mostly great. Mole was amazing. Fish House was just okay. The staff is incredible. They're so friendly and helpful in all our interactions with them. We did several activities while we were there and the staff members running them were always great and fun. The beach and ground are beautiful and clean. The beach area is also clean and well kept.
