Server Yanibeth at Water’s Edge was the 5 star highlight — otherwise, just OK
Spent two nights at Hyatt Regency. Giving this hotel a 3 because the property itself is beautiful and the room was gorgeous, but there’s room for improvement—landscaping, vibe (why is there music blasting like a club in the lobby at night with a dj at an otherwise chill resort and no dance floor?). If you’re looking for it to be a relaxing vacation as a couple, it’s not quite that because of the contrast of kids and partying groups. Also the beach is not really that swimmable, better sand at other beaches off the property. However, our experience at Water’s Edge with Yanibeth was superb!! Five stars!! She was incredibly sweet, helpful and gave us some amazing recommendations for the second half of our trip (in Old San Juan) that truly made all the difference. She went above and beyond. Out of our trip at the Hyatt, she was the highlight!

Kids Club
Nanette From the KIDS Club was beyond AMAZING!!! She made my kids feel special in all posible ways! I highly recommend stopping by if you have any kids they do all sort of activities from arts and crafts to legos, painting and they have “surprises” the kids loved it!

Great Spring Break 2025 stay!
Very nice resort and the staff is extremely courteous. Very relaxing areas throughout the property (hammocks, gazebos and beach chairs). Finally, the Spa is rather small but great massages. Highly recommend Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico to relax and recharge.

Great Vacation
It was Beautiful and Relaxing atmosphere, not crowded, food was great, kids loved it. There was plenty to do for me and the kids (8 &13). Keep in mind there are no lifeguards on duty at the pools so you need to be aware and alert and watching your kids.

Don’t waste your money!
Rooms were nice, and service of rooms were good. But that’s pretty much it. Beach terrible. Full of broken shells. No sand to really mention. Food pool side is out of taco truck and over priced for the quality. Pretty much just barely warm when delivered to us which typically took an hour and the resort was dead. I would guess 50% occupancy, which getting a pool chair was super easy. But if you’re looking for activities by the pool or a fun atmosphere don’t come here. It is quiet and really boring for a resort. The Nori hibachi restaurant was the only good food for the money. Don’t waste your time going to the steak house. Charge for high end steak but that’s not what you get. Prime keeps their restaurant indoor temperature like a meat locker - I would guess at around 65 degrees. I am never cold and I was cold at this place and our ladies were freezing. Waiter never asked us to cut into steaks and see if prepared to liking. Wife’s sea bass to try catch of day was cold. Only good side was their mashed garlic potato’s. Service at table took our forks and never replaced. We had to grab from another table which good news was there were only 6 other tables with people so lots of open tables. 4 meals and one round of mojitos and tab was $400. We certainly do not recommend this resort.
