Awesome service from Ana Vilorio. She is amazing! The hotel is awesome, nothing to complain about. Food is great, service is great, beach and room is great. Awesome week for our 40th birthday! Would 💯 recommend this hotel. I will definitely come back!

Apr 23, 2025Discrimination and Harassment
My stay at Melia Caribe Beach was quite unfortunate. I want all families and people traveling that are of darker complexion to AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. My sister and I booked the Level during our stay here. We were excited for the included airport pickups, personal concierge, and exclusive amenities that were supposed to come with the upgrade. But we were sadly disappointed. From arrival at the airport, wenever saw the Melia bus there that was supposed to be picking us up, even after I sent in all my information to the transportation company within the 72 hour prearrival time frame. This resulted in us having to book a random taxi at the airport to get to the hotel. Once we wrrived we were excited by how beautiful the grounds were but that quickly took a turn. Our bags were left in the front and when we asked multiple times for the bag person to bring our bags over to the Level area we were ignored. My sister ended up having to go back and bring our bags over because we were tired of waiting and exhausted from our flight. Our concierge, Alexandra, checked us into our room and I am sad to say that is the LAST time we saw Alexandra during our stay. She never came back to check in or even gave us the information required to make use of the amenities that we paid for. For example, we did not have a schedule for the daily events, did not know about the offered room service, or even what time the restaurants closed for the day, did not know that we had exclusive access to other restaurants on the other side of the resort, we didn't even learn about how to go about booking excursions. Meanwhile I witnessed the other concierges assigned to white families (we were the only black people on the resort for the majority of our stay) stop by and check in with their guests daily. At the restaurant in the Level area I was harassed by one of ther servers with questions such as, "where is your husband" when he saw my sister get up to get food from the table. He made me extremely uncomfortable even though I repeatedly asked him to leave. It was to the extent that he ended up taking my. phone and adding himself on my social media (I only gave him the phone because at this point I was in shock and afraid because he already ignored my requests to leave me alone) later that night he sent me multiple inappropriate messages. This resulted in me filing a complaint with the manager in which I had to file a security report for him to be removed from the premises.

The rooms and bathrooms could use some updating. The restaurants were good but a little difficult making reservations online/app. The hotel scenery was beautiful.

Excellent!
Loooved this place! Food and drinks are ok! Vibe is awesome! Room? I barely used it! People is nice so you NEED to be nice back!!! Beach is stunning! Burguers at the beach wete the best! Daily and night entertainment was really good to! Perla was our conierge and she is so so sweet and good!!! We will be back!
