Feb 24, 2025Great stay and exceptional staff
We had a wonderful week-long stay at Mahekal Beach Resort, celebrating our 10th anniversary and my husband's birthday, with our 18-month-old. The resort exceeded our expectations in many ways, and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. The staff was exceptionally considerate, going above and beyond to make our celebration special. We were pleasantly surprised with a small cake and champagne as a thoughtful gesture. Corrina at the concierge was particularly outstanding—she made sure all our needs were met, offering great suggestions and recommendations to enhance our experience. Her attention to detail was much appreciated. The resort's spa, Revive, was an absolute highlight. Not only was the service excellent, but the soothing ambience, calming music, and overall vibe made for a truly relaxing experience. We were also impressed by how well-maintained the resort was. Every morning, the staff diligently cleaned the beach, removing seaweed and keeping the area pristine. The pools were also nice and clean, and our little one had a blast during pool time. The food was good—while not exceptional, there were plenty of options to choose from, and a variation of theme every night for dinner. The addition of a Starbucks on-site was a nice touch for a morning pick-me-up. Our room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. Just outside the resort, we discovered some great dining options, including a superb pizza place with deep-dish pizza and pasta that we highly recommend. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we would definitely consider returning. The combination of great service, relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful touches made our anniversary trip unforgettable. That being said there were other things we couldn’t really explore because of the baby like their daily activities so can’t say much about those but there was a board updated everyday.

COME HERE
This place is amazing- no notes. The food, which was delicious was included in the price. There is service on the beach and by the pool. Valeria who does the entertainment is a delight and is so positive and brings great energy to the place. We are already planning our trip next year!

Fun in playa
The resort is awesome and we wish we could stay longer. Food at Fuego is excellent. Believe it or not, we're in the restaurant right now and trying to figure out a way to stay a few more days. The bungalows are one of the best part of this resort, it's very intimate and enjoyable to stay at. Cleaning crew gets in and out without even knowing it and with all the pools, there always seems to be a place where you can get a chair and relax.

Beautiful resort, great location and vibes, amazing staff
The resort was beautiful - private beaches and right up against the water. Breakfast got the job done, lunch was very solid, dinner was kinda mid but there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. I did the all inclusive and it was 100% worth it. Lastly, shout out to Manuel, Enrique, and Diego. The staff really do make the experience and everyone was phenomenal. Would definitely come back. Also great wedding location venue!

Second time at this 5/5 perfect place
Our second trip to Mahekal and it was just as amazing this time. We met the most wonderful and professional staff and enjoyed perfectly prepared Mexican food. We enjoyed a nice massage at the spa and the hotel arranged a private tour for us to go and see Tulum. The only downside for me is the “gym”. It’s just a small dark room with som weights. It has one treadmill and two cross trainers but they were all broken and out of use. Same as in our trip in 2024. A luxury resort should offer a better gym in 2025. But apart from that everything was 5/5!!!
