Jan 24, 2025First time in Puerto Vallarta
The best part of our trip was the service with Jose and Jonathan in the buffet area. They were very attentive and helpful. We also enjoyed the grill restaurant. The resort is beautiful and clean, although we did not like our first room because it was not clean and very old and didn’t have working fans in the bathroom or air condition but then our room was changed and it was much better. I was disappointed about the Wi-Fi service because it didn’t work well near the beach and pool and only work too well in the lobby and coffee shop. I’m told that renovations will be coming soon and with those upgrades we will return.

This is our go to resort! We book altitude selection every time and we are never disappointed. Josefina our concierge is amazing always checking to see if we are all good. The restaurants are all great. Capitán Héctor at the Grill/Itslian is amazing and goes above and beyond we appreciate him immensely. The service and food here was great. Gustavo and Caesar were our waiters at the grill/ Italian also making us feel very welcome. Ayami restaurant service and food was excellent. Eric, Elijo Manuel and Allen (for the yummy drinks). Motero Mexican restaurant the food was great the service this time wasn’t that good sadly. Maybe a very busy time or just an off day but we have had better. Buffet breakfast all of the girls that seated us were very friendly and efficient Alejandro is hilarious and always makes an effort and Irving was also great. The food selection was good They all do a great job! The pool concierge Marco and his partner were always there to help if anything was needed. Adrian, Enriquekike A, Efran, Manuel, Edgar you are all superstars for putting up with our shenanigans! Omar and the other head staff were also pleasant. I’ll be looking forward to some Malibu in April 😝. The entertainment is ok the resort is very quiet at night they have the lobby bar as well as the sky bar (excellent views) if you want late night drinks. There is also an Oxxo outside of the resort. Honestly
23 years old here’s our opinion -We booked through red tag and the rooms in the pictures are not what you are booking unless you are in the main expensive building -safe kept dying -our friends booked and “upgraded” room and they could not get in ended up having to change rooms to a “downgrade” turns out it was much bigger and nicer -adults only pool is ridiculous to get chairs at you need to reserve chairs by 1 am even though your “not allowed to reserve” be careful though people through your stuff in the trash to get seats -buffet is a hit or miss some options some days are really good others I can’t find any -always blasting music to loud for our personal taste -24 hour room service but not snack bar -2/3 à la carts were very good except it’s ridiculous to try to book -pools are nice -drinks are decent - walking distance from Bucerías This was a nice resort but we thought it was going to be amazing (Mexico might also not be for us) I would still recommend it to people who enjoy going to Mexico probably better if you had a family I just wanted there to be a honest review. We were approach and practically forced to give a 5 star review when he asked what were our top 3 favourite things I couldn’t think of anything. Now that I can think of it -àlacarte food -most staff was very nice (having to deal with 65+ year old grumps is hard) -lots of beautiful plants

America (morning waitress) is excellent -so friendly/courteous & efficient in every aspect of her job. We can’t say enough about her bubbly personality & how she makes you feel like family 💕 Anny Y & Arabell (evening hostesses) are wonderful girls. Great at their job. Anny is smiling all the time & again makes you feel welcome. Joaquin (evening waiter) was fantastic-very good at his job as well & made us feel super welcome. Food was good—bar service was excellent-they run their feet off to make sure people are taken care of. Maid service was good. Our 1st stay at the Krystal Grand-Neuvo & enjoyed our time here. We would definitely put it on the list to come back again-especially to see the staff

Overall very good except for unavailability of lounge chairs at pool side and nothing much to do at night.
Great selection of food in the buffet. Very helpful staff. Fabulous pools. Very clean overall. Very difficult to find a lounge chair at the adult pool. Possibly a few single loungers not taken by 8 am. Reserved loungers (with a towel on the lounger) very often not occupied for many hours of the day. Would be great if staff could deal with this problem. Nothing much going on in the evening apart from an hour (some nights) of mediocre entertainment. Found that disappointing.
