Apr 18, 2025An Objective and Balanced Review of the Seafire
Let’s start with the strongest quality of the resort: Service. Friendly, genuine, smiles all the time. It is the clear differentiator of the property. Special thanks to our Service Heroes: Dan, Kelsey, Elton, Beverly, Joy, Jimbo, and Kimone! Thank you! Taxis are easy to get and the Bell team is excellent. F&B quality is very good. Great breakfast buffet and Cocoloba, the beachside restaurant, is convenient and comfortable. Pool and beach quality is also very good coupled with expeditious service times. Don’t miss drinks in the Library Bar. The resort is beautiful. Sophisticated design and indigenous botanicals along with sweeping views of the pool and beach all add to the luxury feel of the property. However… We stayed during Spring Break and the property cannot handle the volume. It was probably a 100% transient week with tons of toddlers and little kids. Restaurants had lines with wait times, the gym was cramped and overrun. Apparently, adding to the volume issues, multiple outlets remained closed during peak times, adding to the bottlenecks. It felt like more could have been done to accommodate the onslaught of so many multiple occupancy stays. We would return again to the Kimpton Seafire, perhaps during an off-peak period. The exceptional service and property experience would probably be more “on-brand” during a normal time.

The Kimpton blew it out of the water. We had a wonderful family trip. This place knows how to combine relaxation with luxury. If and when we return to the Cayman Islands, this would be the only place we would stay. The staff could not be more accommodating or friendly. This hotel has set a high bar for other places that we visit. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The pool and the beach are beautiful.

Good stay but could have been excellent
We were very much looking forward to our stay here after booking it almost a year ago! Pros *Classes and activities: Yoga and Pilates and kids craft activities happened daily and were included in resort fee *social hour with free wine and a little snack happens at 5pm each day *spa was very lovely with steam room and jacuzzi *resort is gorgeous. Right on the beach and the pool was spacious. *rooms are well appointed and amenities were good. *freshly brewed coffee available daily in lobby *splash pad area for the kids was amazing. We went there every day! Cons The following are things that could have been improved: -housekeeping and turn down not consistent. My husband was told if he didn’t leave the room they would just come back in the evening for one housekeeping day and we didn’t receive turndown one day until we called. -despite our hotel not being full we received a room with no ocean view not even partial. When we looked at the resort map, 90 percent of the rooms had at least a partial ocean view. -nespresso only available upon request in standard room. I only noticed it during the housekeeping cart and inquired with the front desk. They should provide that info somewhere. -people hoarding beach chairs in the morning. I was asked to sit somewhere else by the attendant despite the fact that the family they were saving the chairs for told the attendant they were going to breakfast and will be back. The policy should be 30-60 mins of chair holding, not 90. Not fair for other guests. -staff was overall friendly but service did not go above and beyond. We dined at all the properties on site. We went to the ritz for one meal during our stay and the service was far superior. Overall the stay was very good but could Have been better if some changes were made!

Fantastic Spring Break
Excellent time here!!!! No issues finding chairs for the beach or pool especially during spring break! Also there were plenty of umbrellas which are definitely needed!!! Pool and beach service was IMPECCABLE!!!! The Concerige team and bellmen team were excellent!!!! We will 100000% be returning!

Excellent stay!
The service at this hotel is excellent. Between the welcome drinks, the pool side and beach side service with the towels and food and drinks and valet - the service here is top notch. Thoroughly enjoyed my vacation. Room was clean. No issues. The view was amazing. 5 stars across the board.
